Mount Kenya and the Masai Mara Game Reserve offer a chance to see wildlife and plant life up close.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : jomokenyatta airport to nanyuki hotel in mountain kenya region

  Pick up will be from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and we will drive towards the Central Kenya region, making several stops along the way to view pineapple, coffee, and tea farms, among others. One of the interesting stops will be at the Equator line before we enter Nanyuki town, where we will stay at Simba's Hotel or a similar establishment. After lunch, we will meet our crew, which includes our guide and porters. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at the hotel. Our guide will brief us on the program for the duration of our stay.

• Day 2 : nanyuki [2000 meters above sea level to old moses camp 3300 meters

  After breakfast, drive to the Sirimon Park Gate (2,675 meters). Once we clear the park gate, we will begin an acclimatization hike lasting 3 to 4 hours to Old Moses Camp. This hike is designed to help prepare trekkers for the challenges ahead. Along the way, there will be opportunities to see small game and beautiful wildflowers in the forest, marking the transition to the moorland. We will have dinner and spend the night at Old Moses Camp (3,300 meters), where our crew will prepare our meals.

• Day 3 : old moses camp to shiptons camp[4200 meters]

  After breakfast, we will ascend the moorland through Mackinder's Valley to Shipton's Camp, located at 4,200 meters. The trekking will take 7-8 hours at a slow hiking pace. We will have a packed lunch with us for this day. Our guide and porters will walk closely with us, as the porters will carry our backpacks.
  
  This is an exciting day, as we will notice changes in vegetation as we gain altitude and will have the opportunity to view high-altitude fauna. We will also see the snow-covered peaks up close.
  
  We will have our meals and spend the night at the camp. Trekkers will go to sleep early to ensure enough rest and prepare for the following day's ascent to the summit, Peak Lenana, which stands at 4,985 meters.

• Day 4 : shipton camp/lenana/old moses camp

  Pre-dawn [03.00 am], ascend the summit peak of Lenana, 4985 meters. The trekking time is 6 hours to and from the summit, and we prefer being on the summit on or before sunrise. On a clear day, Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Indian Ocean, among others, are visible. After the photo session,descend through the camp for breakfast and a bit of rest and further descend to old Moses camp. It's preferred to rest at lower altitude for maximum enjoyment.

  After breakfast, descend and connect with our transfer to Masai Mara game reserve. Pass the Masai land and evening game viewing. Our overnight and dinner at Mara Springs camp

• Day 6 : Masai Mara

  After breakfast, we will drive to the park to view elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests, baboons, monkeys, buffalo, and several birds, among others. We will have our dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
