Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  airport transfer;
  accommodation in Bucharest; brief evening stroll in downtown the capital city;
  dinner at the hotel

• Day 2 : Sibiu

  departure to Sibiu;
  on the way to Sibiu, short stopover at Poienari Fortress (known as 鈥渆agle鈥檚 nest of the old brave people鈥漣s part of a chain of fortress that was built to protect the northern part of the South Region of the Country);
  -check-in at the hotel in Sibiu (Cultural European Capital in 2007), then we will visit the old city centre, one of the best preserved places in the country. Most of the walls and fortifications are in a very good condition. The old city centre is in the process of being part of the UNESCO list;
  dinner and accommodation in Sibiu;

• Day 3 : Brukenthal

  visit the Brukenthal Museum and Astra Museum (one of the biggest open space museum in Europe);
  dinner and accommodation in Sibiu;

• Day 4 : Sighisoara

  departure to Sighisoara (the city was founded by German colonizers. It was the place where Vlad the 2nd lived and in this period (1431) his son Vlad the Impaler (alias Dracula) was born);
  On the way, we will visit: Silmnic (the fortress which dates back to the 15th century); Medias (the medieval old city center St. Margaret Church, The Trumpet Tower untill 1969 it was one of the tallest buildings in the world and by its leaning the tower is the 6th in the world and the 3rd in Europe); Biertan( the fortified church); Valchid( the fortified church);
  dinner and accommodation in Sighisoara;

• Day 5 : Sighisoara

  visit Sighisoara citadel: the Clock Tower and the House of Vlad the Impaler.
  dinner at the hotel or optionally festive dinner around the fire with traditional drinks and food (30 EUR/person);

• Day 6 : Brasov

  departure to Brasov; on the way we will visit Saschiz (the fortified church), Viscri- Saxon Fortress in Viscri (one of the most spectacular, the oldest and the best preserved fortified church in Transylvania, being included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.Through Mihai Eminescu Trust, Prince Charles himself got involved in renovation of the church and several houses from the village giving them back a bit of the initial shining. Not only the isolation of the village but also the absence of other occupations besides agriculture, had two Germans who established here initiate the Sosete project at the end the the 鈥�90-s), Rupea(thefortress), Harman(very well connected with the presence of the Teutonic Knights in the country at the beginning of the 13th century) and Prejmer (the best preserved and strongest medieval fortified church in the Eastern Europe.   visit the Bran Castle (known as Dracula鈥檚 Castle) and the city of Brasov: the Council Square, the Black Church one of the most representatives Gothic monuments in Romania, dating back to the 14th century;

• Day 8 : Bucharest

  departure to Bucharest;
  on the way we will visit: Peles Castle, the summer residence of the royal family, unique by its historical and artistic significance, the Castle is one of the most important monuments of its kind in Europe;
