Introduction

During the safari, you will stay for 1 night in Nanyuki, 1 night at Judmier Camp (Old Moses Camp), 2 nights at Shipton Camp, and 1 night at Meru Mount Kenya Bandas.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi - Nanyuki

  Early morning between 0730hrs to0800hrs you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi and proceed to Nanyuki which is the base of mount Kenya to have lunch, dinner, and stay overnight.

• Day 2 : Nanyuki - Sirimon -Judmier Camp (Old Moses Camp )

  After breakfast you will leave Nanyuki at 08:00 and proceed to Sirimon Gate. The trekking will take about 1 hour. From the gate, you will follow the track as it winds uphill through the forest (which becomes a heathland) after about 3 hours. About 3.5 hours from the gate, you will continue the trekking until Judmier Camp and stay overnight there.

• Day 3 : Judmier Camp -Shipton Camp

  After breakfast, you will follow the track uphill and fork left at the junction. About one hour from Old Moses Camp, the track will cross Ontulili River. You will go right contouring through the moorland, cross Liki North, and continue uphill to Mackinder Valley from where panoramic views towards the main peaks can be seen. You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Shipton Camp.

  Elevation: 900-meter ascent

• Day 4 : Shipton Camp

  You will spend the day by acclimatizing. You will walk to Kami Hut and Hausberg Lakes (Hausberg Tarn and Nanyuki Tarn). After that, you will walk back to Shipton Camp to have dinner and stay overnight

• Day 5 : Shiptons -Point Lenana -Meru Mount Kenya Bandas (Chogoria Gate)

  You will leave at 03:00 to climb up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff clearing visible part towards lower Hall Tarns. You will arrive in Point Lenana at 06:30 as the trekking will take about 3 hours. After the sunrise, you will descend down to Mintos Hut to have breakfast. After that, you will continue to Meru Mount Kenya Bandas to have dinner and stay overnight.
  
  Trekking time: 6 hours
  Distance: 14 kilometers
  Elevation: 785-meter ascent

  • Themes Trekking
• Day 6 : Chogoria Bandas - Chogoria - Nairobi

  You will descend for 2 hours, 15 kilometers to forest clearance, to catch a transfer vehicle to Chogoria Village where you will connect with your transfer vehicle back to Nairobi. Arriving in the afternoon drop off at the Airport/Hotel
