The seven prepossessing sepultures built on both the banks of Perfume River in Hue attract a large number of tourists every year. The Royal Tombs of Hue were constructed during the rule of Nguyen dynasty and exhibit the influence of traditional Vietnam culture stunningly. Tombs were designed by the emperors during their lifetime and were used as living space while they were alive. Each of the seven Royal tombs was planned by the ruler they belong to and portrays the details of their personality in its architecture.
The details and carvings inside the Tombs are breathtaking. Most of the Royal mausoleums are divided into four different sections. The first section is dedicated to emperor’s accomplishments and Victories. The second part used to serve as a temple for the worship of emperor. The third element is an enclosed sepulture, located on the highest point and fourth is a royal courtyard with stone elephants and horses. Guided tours are arranged inside the complex for the tourists. You can reach most of the tombs by boat. Scenic Beauty around the place is captivating and alluring.
Getting there- Different tombs are located on different places. You can reach most of them by boat which takes 2 hours or rent a motorbike, it will take 40 minutes from the city center.
