5 Nights / 6 Days
Acclimatization and Local Visits
Pick up: We will pick you up at the world’s second highest Airport (if by air) or the Taxi Stand (if by road). Since Leh is at a very high altitude, you won’t be able to explore much, because if you do, your other 5 days might get wasted. But do not worry, we will not let the day get wasted.
Breakfast: We will provide you with a great breakfast of your choice.
Leh Market: You will then be visiting Leh Market. It is the ancient market of Leh, which has been evolving into a modern market, but it is pollution-less and vehicle less. The Leh market is interesting because it is an amalgamation of the traditional Ladakhi market and modern markets.
Leh Palace: We will then take you to Leh Palace. The Leh Palace is said to have a very unique architectural style that has very less similarity to other ancient and medieval structures of India. Leh Palace in itself is a very beautiful building, which has a great history behind it. By evening, you will have a great view of the sunset from the Palace. Also, from the top of the Palace, you will have a great view of Leh town extending till Stok. A perfect start for your trip.
Shanti Stupa: We will take you Shanti Stupa. This amazing Stupa is said to have been built by Japanese people. This beautiful architectural piece has more than 500 steps if you are a fitness freak and love to climb. But do not worry, you can also go around by a car to the top. Shanti Stupa also has a great view of the whole town of Leh.
Magnetic Hill: After a good night’s sleep and a tasty breakfast, we will take you to this place where laws of physics do not seem to hold true. A phenomena of nature which goes against the Newtonian principles of gravity. This place is not haunted, but can pull your car to the opposing force of the slope. This place has gained a great deal of attention from people all over the world. The academic world is startled by this hill.
Spituk Monastery: After witnessing the nature defying hill, we will take you to Spituk Monastery. This monastery is also known as Kali Mata Mandir. It is very interesting to know the deities of Hindus and Buddhists are sometimes the same. This temple holds a great amount of scriptures and knowledgeable monks. Spituk Monastery, which is around 8 kms away from the city, is said to be the residential place of Kushok Bakula, one of the most famous head monks of the Buddhist faith, after whom the airport of Leh has been named.
Sangam – The confluence of Zanksar and Indus Rivers: After visiting the monastery, get ready to treat your eyes with one of nature’s most beautiful views. Sangam, where the famous Indus River meets Zanskar River, is a breathtaking place. It is a perfect place for great selfies and nature photography for your Instagram followers.
Pather Sahib Gurudwara: We will then take you to this very important Gurudwara. Legend says that during Guru Nanak’s visit to Leh to fight a demon, the demon rolled down a boulder to the place where Guru Nanak was meditating. Soon as the boulder, or pather in Hindi, touched the Guru’s body, it melted like a wax. Hence, this place is called Pather Sahib Gurudwara.
Changla: After a healthy breakfast, we leave for Pangong, the place which you have been dreaming about. On the way comes Changla, which is said to be the second highest motorable road, just behind the famous Khardungla. This place has an altitude of 5360 mtrs.
Pangong: Seeing nature’s beauty en-route and wildlife based on your luck, we reach Pangong by afternoon / evening. This is the lake which Ladakh is famous for. This Lake expands in two counties – India and China. Pangong is said to change colors due to refraction of sunlight. This is the place which will get you many new followers on Instagram, and they will want to visit Leh more than ever!
Camping at Pangong: Ever watched a movie where couples / groups go for camping? How beautiful does it look? Well, we are going to do that as well. Imagine what a wonderful time you would have there with your loved ones. Solo is also not bad, if you want a spiritual rejuvenation.
Return: Wait, the trip is not over yet! We are going to do a lot of local sightseeing while going back to Leh, after a warm and refreshing breakfast.
