Highlights of the festival

Artisans-at-work (Gilgit, Karimabad & Skardu) 鈥� Mater artisans from the remote part of Northern Areas will be at work in beautifully designed and documented pavilions.

Folkloric Songs & Dance Ensembles (Gilgit, Aliabad, Gulmit, Karimabad & Skardu) 鈥� Folk Dances and Musicians from all part of Northern Areas including Dance, Song Ensembles from the neighboring Xinjiang Province of China and Central Asia will be invited to entertain visitors the festival.

Folk Music Group 鈥� Small open-air stage will be set up at the festival grounds in the different cities to present musicians from all over the Northern Areas.

Exotic Craft Bazaar 鈥� Exotic Local Bazaar will be held including Sunday and Friday markets for the local communities in several places. Farmer will exhibit and sell fruits.

Polo Matches and Indigenous Sports Events 鈥� Several Polo Matches will serve as a major attraction for foreign visitors at Gilgit and Skardu.

Camping Village and Open-air Restaurants 鈥� will be set up at the scenic spot for nature lovers.

Ethnic Fashion Show 鈥� Depicting regional costumes and cultural traditions will be held.

Community Festival at District level 鈥� AKCSP, AKRSP and Craft Development Projects, Literary and Cultural Forums, IUCN, WWF and other NGOs will hold community Festival at District Levels.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Islamabad

  Arrival at Islamabad international airport, transfer to hotel for O/N stay. Day 02: Drive to Naran Besham en route visit Taxila Museum & ruins.
• Day 2 : Gilgit

  Drive To Gilgit, en route stop at Shatial Rock Carving, Nanga Parbat View Point and Junction Point of Three great Mountain Ranges in the world (Himalaya, Kakorum & Hindukush). O/N stay in hotel.
• Day 3 : Gilgit

  Drive To Gilgit, en route stop at Shatial Rock Carving, Nanga Parbat View Point and Junction Point of Three great Mountain Ranges in the world (Himalaya, Kakorum & Hindukush). O/N stay in hotel.
• Day 4 : Gilgit

  Explore the charm of festival in Gilgit, visit bazaar, walk on the river side oad, suspension bridge and in the afternoon watch the Polo Match.
• Day 5 : Hunza

  Drive to Hunza along the Hunza River. En route stop to for photography and view panoramic villages and Rakaposhi view point. O/N stay in hotel.
• Day 6 : Hunza

  Full day exploration of Hunza, includes, sunrise and sunset view at Duikar, Baltit Fort, Walk along the water channel and meet local People (Hunzukuts) 鈥淭he long age people on earth to know the secrete of longevity. O/N stay at the hotel.
• Day 7 : Gulmit

  Drive to Gulmit, visit Gulmit Museum. O/N stay at the hotel.
• Day 8 : Khunjerab

  Full excursion to Khunjerab border (Pakistan & China).
• Day 9 : Gilgit

  Drive to Gilgit.
• Day 10 : Besham

  Drive to Besham.
