Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : ARRIVE DELHI

  On arrival in Delhi airport, you shall be met by our executive who will help you transfer to a pre booked hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 2 : DELHI

  In the morning after the breakfast, we shall be visiting the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation) for briefing and equipment check up and meeting with the Liaison Officer. Later drive back to the hotel. The day is free for relaxing. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 3 : DELHI - LEH (3600M)

  Early in the morning today, we shall head to the airport to catch a flight for Leh. On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our Ladakhi representative who can assist you to transfer to the hotel. The day is free to get acclimatized. By evening, one can visit the colorful Leh market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 4 : LEH - SHEY - THIKSEY - HEMIS

  Today, we shall go for a sightseeing trip to a few ancient monasteries like Shey Gompa (15 kms from Leh), Dresthang Gompa, Thiksey Gompa (17 kms from Leh). Hemis is about 45 kms south of Leh and has beautiful monastery belonging Drukpa order. Overnight stay at the guest house.
• Day 5 : LEH - KHARDUNG LA - LEH (39 KMS)

  After the breakfast, we shall drive north of Leh to Khardung La. (Mountain Pass at 5570 m/18380 ft.). This is believed to be the highest motorable road in the world. After exploring Khardung La, we shall return to Leh by afternoon. In the evening, a walk to Leh Market for last minute shopping. Overnight in hotel.
• Day 6 : LEH - HANISKUT (3700 M)

  In the morning meet our team and drive towards Haniskut village via Fatu La Pass (4091 mts), which is a small village in the Markha valley. On arrival, we shall set our camp. Overnight stay at camp.

• Day 7 : HINASKOT - KANJI (3680 MTS)

  After the breakfast today, we will leave for Kanji, which is Kun's base camp. Overnigh stay in the tent.
• Day 8 : KANJI - KANJI LA BASE (4440 MTS & 5200 MTS TOP OF KANJI LA)

  Today, we shall continue our trek towards Kanji La base camp. On arrival, we will set out camp for an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
• Day 9 : KANJI LA BASE - SUMDO (3810 MTS)

  Our destination for today will be Sumdo. We will trek through a place that is surrounded by the Kanji range with several peaks ranging from 5000 to 5500m. Night stay in the tent.
• Day 10 : SUMDO - RANGDUM (3840 M)

  Today, we shall continue our trek towards Rangdum from Sumdo. This will be an acclimatization trek. Night in the tent in Rangdum.
• Day 11 : RANGDUM - SHAFAT (3840 M)

  It will be the last day of our approach trek, today we shall head out to the base camp. Night stay in the tent in Shafat.
• Day 12 : SHAFAT - BASE CAMP (4830 M)

  We will head out for the base camp, which is somewhere below 5000m. The team will set up the camp, facing the summit here. Rest and night stay in the camp.
• Day 13 : BASE CAMP - CAMP 1 (5500 M)

  Days walk to reach camp 1; we shall be crossing the 5500m limit and return to base camp for the night. Overnight stay at the camp.
• Day 14 : CAMP 1 (5500 M)

  We shall be climbing to the altitude camps at Camp 1, where we will pitch our tents. Night stay in the tent.
• Day 15 : CAMP 1 - CAMP 2 (6200 M)

  Our aim will be to climb to Camp 2. Due to the altitude and non existence of tracks, our progression on the slope can be slow. We shall be establishing our camp at 6200 m. Night in the tent.
• Day 16 : CAMP 2 (6200M)

  Rest day. Night in tent.
• Day 17 : KUN SUMMIT (7038 M)

  Today, we shall attempt the summit climb. We will reach the summit and then will return to camp 2. Night in the tent.
• Day 18 : RESERVE DAY

  Reserve day is for a second attempt in case of bad weather. Return to base camp.
• Day 19 : RESERVE DAY

  Reserve day is for a second attempt in case of bad weather. Return to base camp.
• Day 20 : BASE CAMP - GULMATUNGO

  We will leave the base camp and shall walk down to Gulmatungo near Yumkun on the banks of the Suru river. Night stay in the tent.
• Day 21 : GULMATUNGO - KARGIL

  Our vehicle will pick us and we shall drive back to Kargil, which is a small trading town, where Indian and Pakistani merchants meet. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 22 : KARGIL - LEH

  After the breakfast we shall take the ride back to Leh. The winding road will lead us passes and familiar landscapes discovered during our trek. We will reach Leh by mid-afternoon. On arriving at Leh, we will check in at the hotel. Evening free. Overnight stay in the hotel in Leh.
• Day 23 : LEH - DELHI

  We will assist you to the airport to catch a flight to Delhi. Check in at your hotel. Afternoon will be free. Overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
• Day 24 : INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

  Transfer to airport. Return flight. (or extension in Delhi)
  End of the trip and services.
