The journey from Hemis till Jungtakh can be a little tiring, but the view of the neighboring mountains is worth every ache, slide and bruise. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Leh

  Catch the morning flight to reach Leh. Arrive at Leh and transfer to hotel/guest house, check in and take a complete day rest. This relaxation is essential for you to become accustomed. Overnight stay at the hotel/guesthouse.
• Day 2 : Leh - Shey - Thiksey - Hemis

  Relish a sightseeing tour to visit some primeval monasteries on this day. Located at 15 kilometers from Leh, Shey Gompa used to be the summer palace of the emperors of Ladakh. Around the palace, you will find scores of Gompas and Stupas. In the beginning of 17th century AD, Deldan Namgyal constructed Shey Palace. 12-meter high Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is the prominent attraction of Shey. This statue is located inside Dresthang Gompa. Thiksey Gompa is positioned at a distance of 17 kilometers from Leh and is near to Shey. This monastery is counted among the most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh. Thiksey Monastery belongs to Gelukspa order. At the distance of 45 kilometers from Leh is situated the well-known Hemis Monastery, which is one of the largest and most popular monasteries in Ladakh.
• Day 3 : Leh - Hemis - Shang Sumdo

  Today, you will visit the Hemis monastery; from there you will start trekking to Shang Sumdo. Overnight in Camp.

• Day 4 : Shang Sumdo - Kongmaru La Base

  Post breakfast, start trekking to Kongmaru-la base via Chu Skurmo. Overnight stay and dinner at Kongmaru-la base.

• Day 5 : Kongmaru La Base - Langthang Chu

  Start walking uphill till Kongmaru-La pass (5150 Mts.). The journey will be tiring, but the scenic view of the mountains is worth all the effort. Spend some time at the pass and then start trekking downhill through the summer pasture of Nimaling till a ridge, which is behind your campsite. Cross another ridge and travel through rocks till Langthang Chu. Overnight stay at Langthang Chu camp.

• Day 6 : Langthang Chu - Sorra

  On the fourth day, you will start trekking towards Sorra by passing through large streams and moraine walls. Dinner and overnight stay in Sorra.

• Day 7 : Sorra - Dat

  Today you will trek for six hours till Dat, which will be your next site for camping and dinner.

• Day 8 : Dat - Lungmoche

  From Dat, start trekking downhill till Lungmoche. Overnight in Lungmoche.

• Day 9 : Lungmoche - Lun

  Start trekking downhill, along the river till Lun. Overnight stay and dinner in Lun camp.

• Day 10 : Lun - Takh

  From Lun, trek along the left bank for half an hour, then take a good path which leaves the river up to the left. After few kilometres, you will trek downhill till Takh, which will be your camping site for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 11 : Takh - Leh

  In the morning after breakfast drive to Leh. On arrival check in to hotel. The day is for relaxed. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 12 : Leh - Delhi

  Depart to reach airport to relish fascinating flight across the main range of Himalayas to Delhi.
