Package Overview

Milam Glacier situated in Kumoun region of Uttarakhand in Pithoragarh district. This trail offers panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishuli and Hardeol & Giant Glacier Milam spread over 30 kms area passes through remote villages & thick forest where trekker can see various kind of flora & fauna, Birds & Wild animals. This route is ancient route for trade witht Tibbet which is now closed. During drive from Kathgodam to Munsyari & returning journey glimpse of kumaoun & its beautiful villages, Hill stations(Almora, Kousani,Chakori, Munsyari), Rivers(Ramganga),Waterfalls (Birthi & Mahadev), Culture & Agriculture of Kumaoun region.Uttarakhand have two divisions (Garhwal & Kumaoun),since ancient time because of its different cultures & language, Kumaoun consist 6districts & Garhwal consist 7 districts out of 13 districtPersonal orders

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kathgodam to Munsyari(2200m) - 350 km -9hours

  Arrive in Kathgodam in Kathgodam early in the morning, & depart to Munsyari, need to depart early because our way is long today takes you through many beautiful villages & Hill stations of Kumaoun region. It will take around 8 hours to reach Munsyari. Night stay in Munsyari.

• Day 2 : Munsyari to Lilam(1810 m) - 12.5 km - 5 to 6 hours

  Our trek starts today, 15 km drive to Selapani, from selapani to Lilam village by trek along with Gori river & pass some quaint villages, forest & Agriculture field, gradual descends& last 3km is steep ascent to Lilam, takes around 5-6 hours to reach.
• Day 3 : Lilam to Bogudiyar (2450 m) - 13 km - 6 hours

  Trek route steep ups & down, passes through thick bamboo forest & mixed forest,later we reach to confluence point of Gori Ganga & Ralam river, after crossing steep ascend reach to Bogudiyar where memorial of 1989 catastrophe which washed away the village and killing villager & army persons. Overnight stay in Bogudiyar.
• Day 4 : Bogudiyar to Rilkote (3350 m) -12.5km -6hours

  After breakfast proceed for next campsite Railkote, trek is again steeply some places, pass two beautiful water falls near Mapang. Route bifurcate here for Lapsa Village & Nankot Glacier, Railkote also ruined by 1989 disater. It is comfortable place for pitching tents, overnight stay in Railkote today.
• Day 5 : Rilkote to Milam Village(3430m): -16.5 km trek - ( 8 hours)

  Nand Devi Peak & Hardeol will be visible from Railkote, after crossing bridge in Barfu we can see magnificient view of Martoli peak & Longstaff Col, Evning we will reach in Milam village where we can stay in tents or village houses.
• Day 6 : Milam Village to Barfu via Milam Glacier(3870m)- 1 7 km - 8hrs

  Early morning wake up & start trek towards Milam Glacier, main objective of this trek, quite long distance to be cover today so need to be start early. Explore Giant Milam Glacier & surrounding glaciers feeding it. Click some unforgettable memories in your cameras & return back to Barfu village, it will take around 7hours to reach Barfu village & overnight stay
• Day 7 : Barfu Village to Nahar Devi - 13.5 km - 6.5 hours

  After breakfast & trek to Nahar Devi gradual descent through forest, water falls & water streams takes around 6 hours to reach Nahar Devi. Comp her for overnight stay.
• Day 8 : Nahar Devi to Lilam Village(1850 m) - 18 km - 8.5 hou rs

  Our next campsite is Lilam where we already done camping previously, gradual descent mostly & some places steep ups & down. Camp here for overnight stay.

• Day 9 : Lilam to Munsyari(2200 m) - 12.5 km - 6 hours.

  Last of trekking, 12 km distance have to cover by trek to selapani, have tea & snacks in Selapani, from here to Munsyari by transport. Check in Hotels/Guest house and share your experience about this trek. Overnight stay in Munsyari

• Day 10 : Munsyari to Kathgodam (554m) - 302 km - 8 to 9 hours

  Early morning breakfast & depart for Kathgodam through beautiful villages, towns, rivers, agriculture field & some charming waterfalls on the way. Our vehicle we drop you in Kathgodam for your next journey by Train
