Today, you'll visit two of Lhasa's most significant monasteries. After breakfast, you'll head to Drepung Monastery, located about 8 km west of central Lhasa. Once one of the largest monasteries in the world, Drepung means "rice heap," a reference to the numerous white monastic buildings spread across the hillside. Afterward, you'll visit Sera Monastery, located in the northern suburbs of Lhasa.
