Package Overview

This combined itinerary takes you to many of Iceland's most dramatic, beautiful and memorable attractions:
We begin the day by driving to Thingvellir (脼ingvellir) the national park with the view over the second largest lake in Iceland (脼ingvallavatn) towards Al镁ingi, the oldest parliament in the world, where Iceland鈥檚 first parliament 鈥淎l镁ingi鈥� was established in 930 AD. (UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004). At 脼ingvellir we get good information about the area and then we will take a short but interesting walk between the tectonic plates to the famous wishing well (Flosagja) where we will test our luck (bring coins ;-).

Then we will continue towards Laugarvatn lake which is surrounded by geothermal activity and continue to the Geyser area famous hot springs. We will take a walk through this high temperature area and were you will see the geyser Strokkur erupt regularly every 5-7 minutes. Our next stop is Gullfoss, or the Golden waterfall, one of Iceland鈥檚 most spectacular waterfalls.

Then we will drive on to south coast towards the famous glacier and volcano Eyjafjallajokull, next stop is the beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the 40 meter high waterfall. We continue to the beauty of waterfall Skogafoss. Finally we head off to enjoy the great sea stacks of Reynisdrangar with the basalt rock formations at the black-sand beach, which are located near V铆k 铆 Myrdal. On the way back to Reykjavik we have a chance to stop at the 脼orvaldseyri, visitors center directly under the crater of Eyjafjallaj枚kull. 鈥婳nce in Reykjavik we drop you off at your hotel or at a restaurant of your choice.
