Package Overview

This trek is considered as the most beautiful and easiest trek in Garhwal Himalayas. This is best trek for beginners, Families and students. We can see all major peaks of Uttarakhand from Chandrasilla top. We start our trek from Deoriatal; which is crystal clear lake surrounded by Oak and Rhododendron forest and stunning view of Kedar and Choukhamba peaks. Deoriatal is also home of 80 species of Himalayan birds. We also visit Tungnath temple, which is worshiped as third Kedar (One of the five Holy Shiva shrines in Uttarakhand). Our high point is Chandrasilla peak, from where we can see all major Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trisul, Hathi Ghori, Choukhamba and Kedar peaks.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Trek to Deoriatal

  Arrival Haridwar early morning, drive via Rishikesh to Sari Village, our starting point on the trek. Deoriatal is a picture perfect place for trekkers and nature lovers with its variety of birds and the great views of the Himalayas including Chaukhamba, Kedar, Neelkanth, Kirti stambh and many unnamed peaks are visible from there. Overnight camping in Deoriatal.

• Day 2 : Deoriatal to Chopta

  After breakfast we start our trail from Deoriatal to Chopta, which is around 12 kms, walk of almost 5-6 hrs. A gentle climb on the ridge connecting to meadows of Chopta and other northeast meadows towards Madhmaheswar. Todays walk passes through dense semi alpine forest of Rhododendron and oak, there is also a possibility of seeing some wildlife as barking deer, sambar deer & lots of Himalayan birds. After a few ups and downs, a final climb will take you at the best camping spot and fabulous views of Himalaya, a beautiful sunset to Chopta (3000m). Overnight camping in Chopta.

• Day 3 : Chandrasilla Top Via Tungnath Temple

  After breakfast we start our day trek to Chandrasilla top via Tungnath temple which is one of the "PANCH KEDAR". The pathway is gentle with few zigzag climb till the Tungnath. A steep (1km) climb leads towards Chandrasilla peak (4130m), which best known for its breath taking views of Himalayas with views of Nanda Devi, Trisul, Dunagiri, Hathi peak, Neelkanth, Choukhamba and all connecting peaks towards Gangotri range. We descend down to our base. Overnight Camping in Chopta.

• Day 4 : Downhill to Pothibasa

  After breakfast we trek 6km downhill to Pothibasa. This is old trail which peoples used before the roads were built. Catch our vehicles and drive 6-7hrs to Rishikesh.
