Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : New Jalpaiguri - Bara Mangwa Farm House

  Arrival at NJP railway station. Proceed for Bara Mangwa Farm House.En route You will have our breakfast at local restaurants. This journey will take approx.1 h 57 min (61.6 km) via NH31/NH 31C you will reach Bara Mangwa Farm House. Lunch will be arranged at Farm House. After lunch you will explore the Farm House & Local Orange project Area. Dinner and Overnight stay at Farm House.(Breakfast by own)Bara Mangwa Farm House, is a rural community, which promises to be a new dreamland for nature and adventure lovers. An ideal place to experience rural life in Himalayan Kingdom. This project is dedicated to serve the tourists to inherit the Himalayan ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Stay with traditional hospitality. There is a guest house with two (2) specious rooms with modern attached bath in the company of a panoramic view of Kalimpong and Sikkim hills, and a ‘birds eye view’ of colorful river ‘Teesta’. Simple and adequate facilities are offered such as running water and regular cleaning. One will be served food four times a day. The Farmhouse has its own cultivated regular crops and various seasonal vegetables. Also some seasonal fruits are produced in the project area. It has Poultry, Piggery, Dairy and a small goat house. A good supply of waters is allowed to flow to run the project smoothly. Also, one can be offered special meals where the flavor of North Bengal and Darjeeling hill can be smelt.
  The Project includes programs that minimize the adverse effects of traditional tourism on the natural environment, and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. Besides all, an unmatched panoramic beauty of the surrounding hills wraps up this project. One can find out an outstanding rejuvenation background with some dignified off beat activities here. The Project desire and solicit interested persons to visit the place to witness the community development work initiated and enjoy the beauty of the surrounds. Tourists will get here a homely ambiance. Nature and adventure loving people, who want to spend a few days in a hilly rural area, away from the tough and clumsy city life, can take a deep breath for a while.

• Day 2 : Baramangwa - Tinculley

  Enjoy the lovely morning with cup of Tea/Coffee and soak in the beauty of Baramangwa from Farm House Balcony. After lunch you will proceed for Tinchuley. This journey will take approx. 50 min (12 km) you will reach Tinchuley (Gurung Guest House).
  
  TINCHULEY, the word Tinchuley stands for three chullas (chulla means oven). It is a relatively new tourist destination of the region. It is one of the hidden treasures of Darjeeling region.Tinchuley is located close to the famous tourist destination of Darjeeling which can be reached through a drive of 32 kilometers. It is at a distance of 80 kilometers from Siliguri, 43 kilometers from Kalimpong and 88 kilometers from Gangtok. Even a few years back Tinchuley was a remote hamlet. The inhabitants of this quite settlement took an initiative for establishing their locality as a model village. It was an initiative of the inhabitants of Tinchuley to convert their rural village into self-sustained eco-urban village.With the help of organizations such as the WWF, which contributed to the development of floriculture projects, forest nursery, and by-compost and vermin-compost manure projects, the village soon developed into eco-tourism resorts. The villagers also showed keen interest in modern farming and with the help of WWF they developed floriculture, vermiculture, organic projects. The leading effort comes from the Gurung family who have developed the model of homestay to suit their condition. WWF has declared tinchuley as a model village for its effort in the improvement of environment of Darjeeling and its adjoining areas. There are numerous viewpoints in Tinchule like the Gumbadara View point, which gives extraordinary views of River Teesta. The Tinchuley View point gives nearly a 180-degree view of the entire range of Eastern Himalayas with the majestic Mt. Kanchenjungha ruling the sky. You can also view towns like Gangtok, Kalimpong and Darjeeling from these viewpoints.

• Day 3 : Tinculley - Lamahata - New Jalpaiguri

  After breakfast you may Visit Tinchuley Monastery, Takdah Bazar, Takdah Orchid Centre & move back before lunch. After lunch proceed towards NJP.
