Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : GUWAHATI

  Arrive Guwahati and transfer to your hotel. Later visit to Kamakhya Temple - The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva鈥檚 tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. Umananda temple- is a Shiva temple located in the middle of the river Brahmaputra. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 2 : GUWAHATI- SHILLONG (110km/2-3 hours)

  Morning after breakfast drive to Shillong, while travelling we see the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Arrive Shillong and visit Don Bosco Museum, St. Catholic Cathedral, and Wards Lake & followed by a visit to the Mall road. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 3 : SHILLONG- MAWLYNNONG- DAWKI(90km/2-3hours)

  After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong-cleanest village in Asia, en-route visit balancing rock. Arrive Mawlynnong and visit Single decker living Root Bridge inside the jungle, later visit and enjoy the locally made watch tower, made up of bamboos. This watch tower gives you 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Later visit Dawki enjoy water activities at 鈥淯mngot River鈥� and back to Mawlynnong for overnight stay.
• Day 4 : MAWLYNNONG-CHERRAPUNJEE (110km/2-3hours)

  After breakfast drive to Cherrapunji. Arrive Cherrapunji and visit Arwah Caves, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Dainthelen falls, Eco Park. Check in to your hotel for overnight stay.
• Day 5 : CHERRAPUNJEE-MAWPHALANG-MAWSYNRAM- SHILLONG (65km/1-2hours)

  Morning after breakfast drive to Mawsynram en-route visit One of the most remarkable features of the Khasi Hills are the sacred forests, which have been preserved by traditional religious sanction, since the ancient days. One of the most famous sacred forests is the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, about 25 kilometres from Shillong. The sacred grove has an amazing life form of plants, flowering trees, orchids and butterflies. An ideal destination for nature lovers In Mawsynram, there is a cave called the Mawjymbuin Cave which is one of the well-known caves in Meghalaya. This cave, due to years of weathering and due to dripping of mineralized solutions and deposition of calcium carbonate, it has thus given rise to some magnificent stalagmites. These stalagmites are not only important and of great interest for geological research but also because of their exquisiteness. The stalagmite of the Mawjymbuin Cave is shaped into a massive Shivalinga. The cave also has a dome shaped rock with a flat top called the Symper Rock. O/N at Shillong.
• Day 6 : SHILLONG 鈥� GUWAHATI

  Morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati. Visit Kalakshetra, an institution of Assamese life and culture. Visit Balaji temple, the replica of Tirupati Balaji temple.
  Later I suggest river cruise in Brahmaputra (direct payment basis) to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Guwahati city and enjoy folk songs and dances. O/n at hotel.
• Day 7 : GUWAHATI airport drop

  After breakfast check your appropriate time and drive to the airport to catch your flight to onward destination.
