Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Guwahati

  Arrive Guwahati meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon visit the Kamakhya temple, on Nillachal hill, 08 kms West of Guwahati city. It is one of the most venerated Shaktipeeths in India. The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nillachal hill, says the Shiva Purana that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra.
  Later I suggest river cruise in Brahmaputra (direct payment basis) to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Guwahati city and enjoy folk songs and dances. O/n at hotel.

• Day 2 : Guwahati-Kaziranga (250km/5hours)

  After morning breakfast drive to Kaziranga, famous for its one-horned Rhinos. Arrive Kaziranga, transfer to your hotel. After lunch enjoy your first Jeep safari to visit central range of the park. Evening free on your own, stroll around the local area. O/n hotel.

• Day 3 : Kaziranga National park

  Early morning enjoy Elephant safari to visit western range of the park. Return back to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, explore the Orchid Biodiversity Park, which is boast of having more than 500 varieties of wild orchid, 132 species of sour fruits and leafy vegetables, tea garden, rubber garden. Afternoon after lunch enjoy your last Jeep safari inside the park. Return to your hotel/resort for overnight stay.
  IMP NOTE: Kaziranga National Park is closed from 01st May till 31st Oct every year.

• Day 4 : Kaziranga- Majuli

  After an early breakfast drive approx. 2 hrs to Nimati Ghat (near Jorhat) and then board on charter ferry (country boat fitted with motor). Cruise for approx. 1 rs to reach Majuli. En-route crossing mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry. Arrive and check in at the traditionally built cottages - Afternoon explore Majuli visiting the Satras, the birth place of Vaishnavite culture in Assam and the tribal villages - Evening visit to a nearby sand beach in Brahmaputra to witness the sunset - Dinner and overnight at the resort in Majuli.

• Day 5 : Majuli- Jorhat

  Morning after breakfast transfer to Ghat to catch your return ferry to Nimatighat. Arrive Nimatighat and drive to Jorhat.
  Jorhat was the first town of the Upper and central Assam installing electricity supply in 1923. The first aeroplane on north-eastern soil was landed in Jorhat in 1928. Jorhat Gymkhana Club is the oldest golf course in Asia and third oldest in the world. Visit Suikapha Maidam, Toklai tea garden. Over Night stay at Jorhat.

• Day 6 : Jorhat- Sivsagar (70km/1-2hours)

  After morning breakfast drive to Sivsagar. Arrive Sivsagar and check in at your hotel. Later visit the Gargaon Raj Palace, Rang Ghar–the royal observatory, Talatal Ghar and Shiva and Vishnu Temples & Sivasagar Tank etc. Overnight at hotel.
  Sivasagar was the capital of the Ahom rulers from 1228 to 1826 AD. Sivasagar got its present name from Sivasagar Tank, excavated by the Ahom queen Ambika. The tank was named after her husband, Shiva Singha. Sivasagar tank is also known as Borpukhuri, literally, big lake. Shiva Dol, Vishnu Dol and Devi Dol are the three temples on the banks of Sivasagar.

• Day 7 : Sivsagar- Dibrugarh (90km/2-3hours)

  After morning breakfast check-out of hotel and drive to Dibrugarh. Dibrugarh, Tea city of India, it owes its moniker to the fact that it serves as the gateway to Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar, the three districts which produce almost 50% of Assam tea. The Assam Medical Collage, established here in 1902, was the first medical college in North East India.
  Visit Jagannath temple, Radha Krishnan mandir. Evening free on your own. Overnight at Dibrugarh hotel.

  After breakfast check your appropriate time and drive to airport to catch your flight.
