Starting from Bagdogra Airport, you'll be welcomed and transferred to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : PICK UP IXB TO PHUENTSHOLING (170KM-4hrs)

  Meet & greet upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Phuentsholing, the Gateway of Bhutan by road from India. Phuentsholing is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

• Day 2 : PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU (172KM-6hrs)

  Meet & greet with your Tour Representative from India Bhutan Tours. Proceed for immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy local sightseeing on the way to Thimphu. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

• Day 3 : THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING

  Embark on an exciting journey through Thimphu, Bhutan鈥檚 capital and the residence of the royal family. Start your day with a visit to Buddha Point and Simply Bhutan, a living museum showcasing traditional Bhutanese life. The view from BBS Tower is stunning and provides a perfect introduction to Thimphu. Explore religious sites like the National Memorial Chorten and the historic Chang Gangkha Monastery. • Day 4 : THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA (77KM-3hrs)

  Embark on a picturesque journey from Thimphu to Punakha, covering 77 kilometers in approximately 3 hours. Depart after breakfast, enjoying the scenic drive through Dochula Pass en route to Punakha, situated at an altitude of 1300m/4265ft. Punakha, blessed with fertile lands from the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, showcases its natural beauty and cultural richness. Morning exploration begins with Punakha Dzong, the 鈥楶alace of Great Happiness,鈥� built in the 17th century and now serving as the winter residence for Je Khenpo, the head abbot, and a community of 1,000 monks. Afternoon ventures include a visit to the historic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan鈥檚 oldest, and Chimi Lhakhang, the 15th-century Temple of Fertility. Evening descent immerses you in Punakha鈥檚 rich history and natural splendor. Overnight stay in Punakha.

• Day 5 : PUNAKHA TO PARO (62KM-3hrs)

  Morning drive for local sightseeing. Visit Ta Dzong, once a fortified lookout tower that is now the National Museum. Then walk down the trail to visit the Rinpung Dzong, meaning 鈥渇ortress of the heap of jewels鈥�. Next, visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. From there, you will be taken to Drugyal Dzong (Bhutan Victory Fort), built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan鈥檚 victory over Tibetan invaders during the 1600s. On a clear day, you can see Mount Jumolhari, Bhutan鈥檚 second-highest mountain at 7,314 meters. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

• Day 6 : Taksang Hiking or EXCURSION TO CHELE-LA-PASS

  After breakfast, hike to Taktsang (Tiger鈥檚 Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan鈥檚 most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (the great spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. Overnight stay at Paro. Alternatively, after breakfast, drive to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) 鈥� the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty and memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Return to Paro. The rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

• Day 7 : PARO 鈥� Sightseeing and Night Halt

BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY

• Please note 鈥� Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs 鈥� in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us 鈥� a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
• In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Important Information

• As per Tourism Council Of Bhutan All Indian tourist above 12 years will have to pay 1200 per person per night as Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) and Children 5 to 12 years will have to pay 600 per person per night .Child below 5 years do not have to pay any charges.
• Documents required for Bhutan Immigration is ONLY Voter id/Passport (minimum validity 6 months for passport)
• 鈥� Children below 18 years can carry birth Certificate in English.
• 鈥� SDF charges : Below 5 years is free - 5 to 12 years 600 per night above 12 years 1200 per night( per person per night).
• 鈥� As per new Tourism rules Guide is Mandatory in Bhutan.
• 鈥� Travel Insurance is Mandatory in Bhutan.
• 鈥� Bhutan Immigration office remains opened from 8:30 A.M to 8 P.M all 7 days a week.
• 鈥� Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced if asked by hotel.
• 鈥� A valid photo ID proof for all guests staying at the hotel is mandatory.
• 鈥� For Extra adult in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattress or roll out bed. Most of the hotels have no provision of an extra bed.
• 鈥� The above mentioned hotels will be confirmed as per the room availability. Otherwise similar category hotel will be provided. All the rooms are base category.
