Sri Paanakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is located in Mangalagiri, Guntur district, Vijayawada. The glory of this temple is amazing. The existence of God is only seen by its mouth and it is 15 cm wide. The mouth of God is enclosed by the metal face. It is a legend that Gods and sages do prayer at the night. Lord Narasimha take accepts panakam (jaggery water) via conch. During this duration, the devotee hears a gargling sound and it becomes shriller and shriller. This is the indication that Lord is actually drinking and after some time, the sound becomes stopped. It is seen that the remaining Jaggery water is passed away. This event happens not a single time in a day rather it happens repeatedly when the devotee makes an offering of jaggery water. It is wonderful that no any existence of single ant is found in the favorable condition however in the copious amounts of jaggery water. To this strange glory of God, the Lord is famous as the Panakala Narasimhaswamy.
