It was long back in the year 1964 that the construction of this amazingly beautiful Soniji ki Nasiyan was started to be erected. With the placement of 'Agnidev' in the Sanctum Sanctorum on 26 May 1865, the temple was finally opened for the worshippers. The holy shrine was built by Rai Bahadur Seth Moolchand and Nemichand Soni, Jain Businessmen from Ajmer, and therefore, it is also called 'Nasiyan of Seth Moolchand Soni'. Soniji Ki Nasiyan is also known as Siddhkoot Chaitanya. In 1895 A.D, the Svarna Nagri was added to the temple and that’s when the temple was started to be known as 'Sone ka mandir'.
Architecture:
Through the models and statues, Soniji ki Nasiyan depicts Panch Kalyanak - the five stages in the life of Lord Adinath. These stages are named as Garbha Kalyanak (Conception), Keval Jnan Kalyanak (Omniscience), Janma Kalyanak (Birth), Tap Kalyanak (Renunciation), and Moksha Kalyanak. The whole development is covered with gold leaf and is made as per the descriptions are given in Adi Purana that is written by His Holiness Shri Jina Sen Acharya. Coming specifically to the architecture of the holy temple, the chamber of the place is beautifully adorned by gold and silverwork and precious stones. Moreover, the temple is divided into two parts, wherein the one is the worship area involving the symbol of Lord Adinath and the second is the museum, both parts still owned by the Sony family of Ajmer.
