Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin - Drive Munnar (4 hrs)

  On your arrival at Cochin Airport, our local tour representative will meet you near the Exit Area. Board the vehicle and start your journey towards Munnar. (135 kms, approx. 4 hours drive). Situated at the confluence of 3 rivers, Munnar is a beautiful hill station with sprawling tea plantations and picturesque towns. It is renowned for its natural beauty and romantic atmosphere. Enjoy the spectacular drive with panoramic views and waterfalls on the way. On arrival at Munnar, check in at hotel and relax. Evening is at your own leisure. You can step out for a relaxed stroll in the beautiful valley and relish local cuisine.

• Day 2 : Munnar- Local Sightseeing

  Wake up to an enchanting morning at Munnar. Have a fill at breakfast and set out for local sightseeing. Munnar is situated 1600 metres above sea level at the confluence of three rivers- Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. It offers mesmerising tea plantations, winding roads amidst green hills and an enchanting weather. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. In the afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat "Nilgiri Thars" can be spotted. Later return to hotel after a day full of sightseeing.

• Day 3 : Munnar - Drive to Thekkady (3 hours)

  Visit to Periyar National Park + Boat Cruise in Periyar Lake/ Spice Plantation (at extra cost)
  Post morning breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a drive to Thekkady (110 kms, approx 3 hours drive). On arrival, check in at the hotel and refresh. Thekkady is best known for Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more. In the evening, you can go for a Boat Cruise in Periyar Lake or visit Spice Plantation (Optional at extra cost).

• Day 4 : Thekkady - Drive to Alleppey (4 hrs)

  Have a fill at morning breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for drive to Alleppey (180 kms/ approx. 4 hrs drive). On arrival, check-in at the Hotel / houseboat. Alleppey is most famous for its backwater houseboats. It is the best mode of transportation to explore the mesmerizing beauty of backwaters. Few points to be noted are:
  Houseboat operates from 12 PM till 5:30 PM. In the evening it is parked offshore and next day drops you at Alleppey Jetty at 0930 Hours.
  AC in the houseboat operates only in the night during sleeping hours.
  Please carry Mosquito Repellent Cream along with you.
  The choice of food in the houseboat is very limited and mostly basic south Indian meal is served.
  The quality of the houseboat cannot be compared with the quality of the rooms in the hotel where the guest is staying. The rooms are basic and small.
  
  The main concept of the houseboat is to stay closest to the nature and enjoy this unique experience of staying over the rippling backwaters and to explore the backwater beauty of the region.
  
  Stay overnight in Hotel / Houseboat in Alleppey. (B, Meals on Houseboat)

• Day 5 : Alleppey - Drive to Kovalam (5 hours)

  Wake up to the enchanting beauty of the backwaters. The rippling music of water, chirping of birds, sounds of the swaying palms and stunning hues of rising sun altogether create a magical morning. Enjoy morning breakfast and check out from the houseboat and further drive to Kovalam (190 kms, approx 5 hours drive). On arrival check in at hotel and relax. Kovalam is an evergreen and exotic beach resort. It is one of the most preferred beaches of India for a relaxing holiday or catching up on exciting water sport activities. Return back to hotel and relax.

• Day 6 : Kovalam - Day Trip to Kanyakumari

  After morning breakfast at hotel, proceed for Kanyakumari Sightseeing tour. 90 kms from Kovalam, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu is the southernmost tip of Indian subcontinent. Enjoy the evening sunset from the Vivekananda Rock, where you can reach through locally operated motorboats. Later drive back to Kovalam and relax.

• Day 7 : Kovalam - Trivandrum - Return Flight

  Enjoy a relaxed morning in your cozy bed and relish an extensive breakfast. Later check out from the hotel and proceed to Trivandrum Airport for your return flight.
