Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Phnom Penh

  Upon arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, you鈥檒l be met and transferred to your hotel. You鈥檒l then have a city tour which will include the Victory Monument, the National Museum, the Royal Palace (built by the French in 1866 on the site of the old town), and the Silver Pagoda (located within the Royal Palace grounds). You will then end your city tour with a visit to Wat Phnom Temple (Phnom Penh鈥檚 namesake) from which you can enjoy views over the tree lined avenues of the city during sunset. You will stay overnight at your hotel in Phnom Penh.

• Day 2 : Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

  This morning you will take a flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by your guide and head off to visit Neak Pean, which means 鈥渃oiled serpents.鈥� You will also visit Tasom, the most distant temple on the grand circuit. The tour will also include a visit to one of the world鈥檚 most famous temples: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat has been a World Heritage Site since 1992, and is famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. After that, you will visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sunset view from Bakheng hill. Finally, you will have dinner as you watch a performance of Apsaras (Kmer folk dancing), followed by an overnight stay in Seam Reap.

• Day 3 : Siem Reap

  You will take a drive to the Angkor Complex and embark on an elephant ride from the South Gate of Angkor Thom into the jungle. You will see numerous sites, including: Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), Baphoun, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. You will have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Ta Prohm (embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers), Pre Rup, East Mebon, Krovan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei and Ta Keo. You鈥檒l then retire for an overnight stay in Siem Reap.

• Day 4 : Departure

  After breakfast you will visit Banteay Srei Temple, nearly everyone鈥檚 favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of its decorative carvings. You will also visit Banteay Samre before taking a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake to visit floating villages, complete with schools, restaurants, hospitals, and the school known as 鈥淟es Artisans d鈥橝ngkor.鈥� Finally, you will transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your departing flight.
