Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive Mumbai

    Upon arrival at Mumbai airport, meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel.
    Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 2 : In Mumbai

    After breakfast, leave for the sightseeing tour of Mumbai. The Gateway of India is the main attraction of Mumbai city. The Mani Bhawan or the Gandhi memorial was once used to be the residence of Mahatma Gandhi in Mumbai. Also known as Queen's Necklace, Marine Drive. Juhu is a 5-km-long beach that attracts a large number of visitors on any day of the week. Also visit gardens like the Hanging Garden and the Kamla Nehru Garden and Chowpatty gives you the view of one of the most happening beaches of Mumbai
    Afternoon free for own activities at the hotel.

  • Day 3 : Mumbai - Aurangabad

    After breakfast, leave for the excursion to Elephanta Caves, the world famous 1200 years old Caves dedicated to Lord Shiva. The famous Trimurti sculpture signifying the trinity of the Creator, the Preserver and the Destroyer is located here. 
    In the afternoon transfer to the airport to board flight for Aurangabad. Upon arrival at Aurangabad, assistance by our representative and transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 4 : In Aurangabad

    After breakfast, proceed for full day excursion to Ajanta Caves – they are cut from the volcanic lavas of the Deccan trap in a steep crescent – shaped hillside in a forested ravine of the sahyadri hills. A set of 29 caves, the Ajanta Ellora caves, inspired by Buddhist architecture, are among the finest examples of early Buddhist civilization. Paintings depicting the Jataka tales and other diverse stories of Buddha come to life in these caves. One of the most important tourist destinations around the world.
    Ajanta caves are older than those at Ellora consisting of 24 monasteries and temples hewn out of solid rack. The wall paintings and frescoes of these caves are a wealth of colours, Proceed to Civic - cum - Cultural Complex, a gallery of local art and crafts and shopping complex. (Ajanta caves remain closed on Monday).
    Return to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 5 : Aurangabad

    Post breakfast, leave for the excursion to Ellora caves (closed on Tuesday). The caves are over 2000 years old and consist of temples and monasteries hewn from rocks by Buddhist, Hindu and Jains monks and craftsmen. Ellora are examples of unmatched artistic and engineering excellence. Quite and meditative, these caves also take you back in time and narrate the stories of a royal who, with his saint-like qualities, left all the riches behind to become Buddha. Elaborate sculptures, wall inscriptions, rock carvings, Viharas, Hindu/Jain monasteries and the Kailasa Temple are some of the most interesting things to see while at the caves. These caves have attracted pilgrims and tourists for decades and were declared as a 'World Heritage Site' by UNESCO in 1983. Amid the beautiful pictures and paintings that the Ajanta Ellora caves are famous for, are the multifarious sculptures and poses of Buddha-calm and contemplative
    Afternoon half day city tour of Aurangabad, visiting the Mini Taj, built by Azam Shah in 1678, the Bibi Ka Maqbara is a son's loving tribute to the memory of his mother, Begum Rabia Durrani, the queen of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Later return to the hotel.
    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 6 : Aurangabad - Dhar ( Mandu)(Approx 350 Kms)

    After breakfast, drive to Mandu (Mandavgad). The ruined city in the present-day in the Dhar district. Located in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh, once it was the subdivision of the Tarangagadh kingdom (11th Sanctuary). This fortress town on a rocky outcrop is celebrated for its fine architecture.
    Mandu was a fortified city even in 6th century BC. It gained prominence in 10th and 11th century under the Parmars, from whom the control was snatched by Khiljis in 1305. Mandav or Mandu's was earlier known by the name of "Shadiabad" meaning the city of happiness, the name was given by then ruler Allauddin Khilji. The city is situated at an elevation of 633 metres and extends for 13 km along the crest of the Vindhya Range, overlooking the plateau of Malwa to the north and the valley of the Narmada River to the south. These acted as natural defences and Mandu was originally the fort-capital of Rajput Parmar rulers of Malwa.

  • Day 7 : Mandu - Indore (Approx 100 Kms)

    After breakfast, leave for the sightseeing around Mandu / Dhar. Visit the places like Darwazas - the wall encompassing Mandu has 12 major gates or Darwazas. Jahaz Mahal or Ship Palace - it is situated between 02 artificial lakes, this two storied architectural marvel is so named as it appears as a ship floating in water. Hoshang Shah's Tomb - it is India's first marble structure, it is one of the most refined example of Afghan architecture. Roopmati's Pavilion- A large sandstone structure originally built as an army observation post.
    Afternoon drive to Indore via Maheshwar and Omkareshwar temples. First visit the glorious city of Maheshwar, this temple town on the banks of the river Narmada finds mention in the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Revived to its ancient position of importance by the Holkar queen Rani Ahilyabai of Indore. Maheshwar's temples and mighty fort-complex stand in quiet beauty, mirrored in the river below. Today, Maheshwar is also known for its distinctive hand-woven sarees called Maheshwari exquisitely woven 'Maheshwari' sarees.
    Later drive to visit Omkareshwar temple dedicated to lord Shiva. Omkareshwar is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada River, the shape of the island is said to be like the Hindu symbol. There are two temples here, one to Omkareshwar (whose name means "Lord of Omkaara or the Lord of the Om Sound") and one to Amareshwar (whose name means "Immortal lord" or "lord of the Immortals or Devas").
    Later drive to Indore for night stay.
    Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 8 : Indore - Ujjain (Approx 60 Kms)

    Morning drive to Ujjain, the city which traces its origin to the very dawn of Indian history and has a great tradition of learning and culture. It is among one of the four centers of Kumbha Mela
    Upon arrival at Ujjain check into the hotel. After fresh-n-up & breakfast enjoy sightseeing trip of renowned pilgrim centre. Visit Mahakaleshwar Temple - The temple enshrines one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Bada Ganeshji Ka Mandir The largest ornate statue of Ganesha makes this temple a popular picnic spot, Kaliadeh Palace - The sacred river Shipra runs through this city of temples.
    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 9 : Ujjain - Bhopal (Approx 200 Kms)

    Morning after breakfast, drive to Bhopal, the capital city of the state Madhya Pradesh and well known for its Lakes. Upon arrival check into the hotel.
    This city has got the proud for being founded in 11th century by Raja Bhoja. Bhopal has historical and archaeological importance; its buildings in natural settings create a hypnotical environment. Start your Bhopal sightseeing with Taj - Ul - Masjid - one of the largest mosques in Asia. Bharat Bhawan - multi art complex as described by the late Smt. Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. Government Archaeological Museum - the place which displays beautiful sculptures
    Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 10 : Bhopal - Sanchi - Udaigiri - Bhopal

    After breakfast take an excursion tour to Sanchi Stupa, one of the World Heritage Site. It is built by Emperor Ashoka and is one of the most famous Stupa in India. It is situated at a distance of 46 Kms from Bhopal. After sightseeing of Sanchi further drive towards Vidisha and Udaigiri Caves. Udaigiri Caves are 14Kms from Sanchi, enroute visit Vidisha. Udaigiri Caves are on the hill which adds attraction to the view of these caves. Vidisha is one of the oldest city in India. Visit Heliodous Pillar and continue your drive towards Udaigiri Caves. Udaigiri Caves have number of caves worth visiting and admiring. Drive back to Bhopal.

  • Day 11 : Bhopal - Bhimbetka - Bhopal - Jhansi - Orchha

    After breakfast, half day excursion to the Bhimbetka rock shelters. These rock shelters are an archaeological site of the Paleolithic, exhibiting the earliest traces of human life on the Indian subcontinent, and thus the beginning of the South Asian Stone Age. It is located in the Raisen district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The Bhimbetka shelters exhibit the earliest traces of human life in India. At least some of the shelters were inhabited by Homo erectus more than 100,000 years ago. Some of the Stone Age rock paintings found among the Bhimbetka rock shelters are approximately 30,000 years old. The caves also deliver early evidence of dance. They were declared a World Heritage Site in 2003.
    Later in the afternoon return to Bhopal and transfer to the railway station to board the train for Jhansi.

  • Day 12 : Orchha - Gwalior

    Morning after breakfast city tour of Orchha visiting the grand Rajput palaces and temples of 16th and 17th century. Orchha means Hidden, was the hallmark of Bundela dynasty. The origin of Bundelas in the 11th century is traced to a Rajput prince who offered himself in sacrifice to the mountain goddess Vindhyavasini. It is believed the goddess stopped the prince from sacrificing and named him Bundela (meaning, the one who offered blood). The Bundelas ruled over the area between the river Yamuna and Narmada.
    Later drive to Gwalior, en-route we will visit Datia, the 07 stories Palace, an impressive building with some rooms still containing.
    Upon arrival at Gwalior and check in at the hotel.

  • Day 13 : Gwalior - Delhi

    After breakfast, visit the magnificent Gwalior Fort - This Fort complex houses a marvelous Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, Suraj Kund etc, the tombs of Tansen and Ghias Mohammed, the Museum in Jai Vilas Palace - Better known as the Jivaji Rao Scindia Museum which is the main attraction of the gigantic Palace and the newly built Sun temple - Located on the outskirts and dedicated to Sun God.
    Afternoon transfer to the railway station to board the train for Delhi.
    Upon reaching at Delhi, you will be met with our representative and transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 14 : In Delhi

    After breakfast, leave for the guided tour of Delhi popularly known as 'Dilli'. Start the tour with Red Fort - this grand architecture is a relic of India’s glorious past. Have a leisurely walk to the street of Chandni Chowk to know the old traditional market of India. Visit the two World Heritage sites that are Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Also visit Raj Ghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Nation, India Gate, President’s House and Parliament House.
    Rest of the day free to explore the local markets. Drive back to hotel for overnight stay in Hotel.

    Transfer to the International airport on time to board the flight for onward destination
