Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Jordan

  Meet and assist at Queen Alia International, Amman. Overnight at hotel in Amman.
• Day 2 : First day of riding

  Transfer to Shoubak castle, to meet with the horses and support teams. Spend time exploring the crusader castle before setting off on your riding adventure. Heading south, parallel to the King’s Highway. Overnight bivouac.
• Day 3 : Second day riding

  A visit to Beidha or ‘Little Petra’. The ancient nabatean village thought to be a stop for camel caravans on their way to Petra. Overnight at hotel or camp in Petra.
• Day 4 : Petra

  Spend the whole day exploring the ancient red rose city of Petra on foot. See all the highlights of the city – The treasury, the amphitheater, royal tombs, the great temple and if you like also hike up the mountain to the monastery. Overnight at hotel in Petra.
• Day 5 : Third day riding

  Follow the ancient water channels from the city of Petra, ride south through Bir Hamad (Hamad’s Well) and Humaimah, A Nabatean caravan station and Roman military camp. overnight bivouac
• Day 6 : Fourth day riding

  At the edge of Wadi Rum, the limestone earth slowly changes to sand, as you enter the desert through the area of Dissi see the natural rock formation of the Kharazeh Bridge. Camp near Jebel Kharazeh, bivouac.
• Day 7 : Fifth day riding

  After a morning of crossing the mudflats – an exciting chance to let loose and gallop! Ride through the majestic Barrah canyon, with high cliff faces on either side. Bivouac in the canyon.
• Day 8 : Sixth day riding

  Exit Barrah canyon and head south towards Jebel Khazali and Jebel Qatar to Um Sabata. Great mountains provide beautiful scenery for todays ride. Bivouac.
• Day 9 : Seventh day riding

  Turn to head back north towards the massif Jebel Rum and the heart of Wadi Rum – the Wadi Rum Stables. Say goodbye to the horses and team and transfer to hotel in Madaba for dinner and overnight
• Day 10 : Madaba -Mount Nebo – Dead Sea

  Spend the morning exploring the ancient mosaics and churches of Madaba and Mount Nebo, then rest and relax for a few hours at the Dead Sea. Overnight at hotel in Madaba.
