Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Chennai

  Arrival at Chennai's international airport. Our representative will receive you with warm welcome & assist you to transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Chennai-Mahabalipuram (52 Kms/1 Hr)

  After breakfast visit Kapaleswar Temple - The ancient Kapaleshwar Temple, situated in Mylapore, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The fragmented inscriptions here dates back to 1250 AD. But the present temple was rebuilt by Vijayanagar Kings in the 16th century. Sri Parthasarathy Temple - One of the oldest surviving temples in Chennai, the Sri Parthasarathy Temple was built by the Pallavas in the 8th century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna.This is one of the oldest surviving temples in Chennai.
  
  Later drive to Mahabalipuram. On arrival check into the hotel. Later visit Arjuna Penance, Panch Ratha, Rock cut caves & Shore temple.

  Visit Kasi Vishanatharan Temple - This temple has been praised by Sambandhar in his "Devaram". It is situated in the north eastern side of M' tank. God : Kaayarohanar. Goddess : Vishalakshi. Sri Gowthameswarar Temple : This temple is in the south western side of M' Tank. God : Yagnobhaveetheswar Goddess : Sundaranayagi.
  
  Later drive to Trichy. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 5 : Trichy

  After a relaxed breakfast visit Ranganathaswamy Temple-(Sri-Rangama) Tamil Nadu is a temple for the devotees of Lord Ranganatha which is a reclined position of Lord Vishnu. Ranganathaswamy Temple in Trichy is considered to be the first and foremost amongst all the 108 Divya Desams. Rock Fort Temple in Trichy is one of the famous architectural examples in the state of Tamil Nadu; India.This temple is the most notable landmark in the town and one of the main Trichy tourist attractions.

• Day 7 : Rameswaram-Madurai (170 Kms/2-3 Hrs)

  Morning visit The Temple of Sri Ramanatha - A pilgrimage centre and enshrining one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India, it is said that Lord Rama worshipped Shiva here on his way back from Lanka. The island of Rameshwaram, where it is situated is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Gandamadhana Parvata:Situated just outside the Ramanatha temple, the Gandamadhana Parvata has a Mandapam that enshrines footprints of Sri Rama. It offers excellent views of the island. Sethu: 5-km south of the Ramanatha temple is Sethu, said to be the bridge built by Sri Rama and his army to cross over to Lanka. There is a celebrated temple of Sri Anjaneya here. It is said that in Devipatnam or Navapashanam, there are nine stones visible in the sea, visible at low tide. It is believed that these stones represent 'Navgrahas' (nine planets) and were set up by Sri Rama.

• Day 8 : Madurai

  After breakfast visit Meenaxi Temple; - It is one of the most prominent among the temples of Madurai. Thirumalai Nayak Palace: It is a magnificent palace that was built by King Thirumalai Nayak with valuable assistance of an Italian architect in the year 1636.Later visit Mariamman Teppakulam: It is also among one of the many things to watch in Madurai and is located at a distance of 5 km to the east of Meenakshi temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 9 : Madurai-Palani (125 Kms/2-3 Hrs)

Later visit Mariamman Temple -The prosperity of this Devi incrased with the prosperity of the Palauakars. Palayakars were lords of small tracts, and Mariamman was their goddess of boundary.   After breakfast drive to Tanjore (Thanjavur). On arrival check into the hotel. Later visit Brihadeeswara Temple - This temple, the main attraction of Tanjore was built by Rajaraja Chola and reflects the contribution of the Cholas to the development of arts here. Listed as a World Heritage site, it is characterised by its unique structure. Later visit The Palace - The Palace of Tanjore also makes for an important tourist destination. It is characterised by its vast corridors, large halls, its shady courtyards and observation towers. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  After breakfast drive to Chennai via Kanchipuram - the city of thousand temples. Kanchipuram district is situated on the north-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu. Kanchipuram was the historical capital of the Pallavas during the 7th - 9th centuries. Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of India. Kanchipuram is famous for hand-woven silk fabrics and saris. The weavers use the highest quality silk and pure gold thread. Kanchipuram is also known as Silk City. Sankaracharya 'Math' is situated at Kanchipuram. Proceed to Chennai. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
