Engelberg

If you are looking for a typical Swiss countryside experience - come to Engelberg. This small and scenic village lies at the foothills of Mount Titlis and it is just 90 kms away from Zurich and just 40 kms from Lucerne city. Many guests prefer staying here than Lucerne city as it gives a resort town feel. Staying at Engelberg - one can cover Lucerne, capital city of Bern, Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi and Rhine falls as day trips.

Interlaken

Interlaken as suggests is nested between two lakes - Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. It is not just a beautiful town but also a starting point of Mount Jungfrau excursion. One can view three gorgeous peaks Jungfrau, Eiger and Monch from this town. Being located in the center of Switerland, this is also a point of stay to cover north and south side of Switzerland. You have adventure sports such as paragliding and sky diving in and near Interlaken.


Montreux

Montreux is located on south west side of Switzerland which is a french speaking area. Located on the banks of Lake Geneva, Montreux offers exceptional natural set up as it is located between mountains on one side and lake on the other side with snow peaks across the lake. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Zurich Airport - Engelberg

  Arrive at Zurich airport. After immigration, proceed to Zurich Flughafen [airport] station. Using your pre-validated Swiss pass proceed to Engelberg via Lucerne. Walk down to hotel or take a shuttle bus service - if available. Day is free to explore this beautiful town nestled at the foothills of Mount Titlis.
• Day 2 : Mount Titlis - Engelberg

  From Engelberg station, Titlis cable car station is just 10 mins walk. Show your vouchers of Titlis cable car and enjoy cable ride to top of Titlis. Last ride of cable car is by Rotair which is a revolving cable car. Enjoy chairlift ride at the top. Enjoy snow and great views of Alps from the peak. You may take cliff walk which is an adventurous walk on a suspension bridge. Return to Engelberg town by cable car. Engleberg is a scenic village located at the foothills of Mount Titlis. Rest of the day is free to enjoy your Hill town.
• Day 3 : Engelberg - Pilatus - Lucerne

  Today proceed to Lucerne and then to Alpnachstad by train. Then board one of the steepest funicular to Mount Pilatus. This breathtaking ride is an engineering marvel you should not miss. While return take a cable car route and arrive at Kriens. From Kriens take a train back to Lucerne.
  
  At Lucerne visit Kappelbruck bridge which connects two sides of Lake Lucerne, then visit Lion Monument and finally spend time strolling along the streets of Old Town. If time permits take ferry alinong the lake Lucerne. Evening back to Engelberg by train.
• Day 4 : Engelberg - Interlaken

  Check out and proceed to Interlaken via Lucerne by train. Just walk down or take a local bus to your hotel. Check in after 14:00 hrs. Day is free to explore scenic hill town of Interlaken which is nestled between two lakes - Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. You may just stroll along the street connecting Interlaken East and West towns, or may opt for a horse carriage ride, or take a funicular to Harder Kulm to have a great views of Alps.
• Day 5 : Mount Jungfrau Excursion

  Today proceed to Interlaken OST station either by walk or train. Show your Swiss pass, passport and Jungfrau excursion voucher at the ticket counter and get tickets for cog wheel train. Proceed to Lauterbrunnen and then start climbing Alps using cog wheel train. As you climb further, green meadows get converted into white snowy slopes. You shall get down at Kline Schidegg station where you shall board another cog wheel train to Top of Europe - Mount Jungfau. Enjoy views of Mountian peak of Eiger and Jungfrau from the Sphinx and be amazed by the iternal snow of the glacier. Take a tour of Ice Palace and film on building of Mountain rail. While descending, arrive at Kline Schidegg and take another route and arrive at Grindelwald town. This route will give you glimpses of Eiger valley. Spend some time in Grindelwald by exploring tiny shops and restaurants. Evening return to Interlaken by train.
• Day 6 : Interlaken - Zermatt

  Check out from hotel and proceed to Zermatt by train. You need to change train 2 times to Zermatt. On arrival proceed to hotel either by walk or by battery operated taxi and Zermatt is a vehicle free Hill Station. You shall be amazed by the sheer height of Majestic Matterhorn peak.
  
  You may opt for an excursion to Gornergrat by cog wheel train and enjoy Majestic Matterhorn peak from 3089 mtrs height or take a cable car to Matterhorn Glacier. Overnight stay at Zermatt.
• Day 7 : Interlaken - Montreux

  Check out and proceed to Interlaken Ost station by walk / by train. Board a Golden Pass Express train which goes to Montreux via picturesque route through Zweisimmen. This is one of the most beautiful scenic train routes in Switzerland. Arrive at Montreux by around 12:00 hrs. Montreux is located on the banks of Lake Geneva and it is a French speaking region of Swiss. You may explore lake side promenade or visit Chillon castle or proceed to Gruyere village for cheese factory and then to Broc for Nestle Chocolate factory. Overnight stay at Montreux.
• Day 8 : Montreux - Gruyere - Broc

  Today proceed to Broc Fabrique station via Mont Bovon by train. This very small village in the lap of Alps hosts a famous Chocolate factory of Caillers - Nestle. You may take a chocolate tour on direct payment. Then proceed to Gruyere famous for its cheese factory. Evening return to Montreux and stroll along the lakefront promenade.
• Day 9 : Montreux - Zurich

  Today check out and proceed to Zurich by train. If you are staying at Airport hotel then arrive at Zurich airport station and take a free shuttle to airport hotel. Check in after 14:00 hrs.
  
  Proceed to Schaffhausen by train which takes approx 30 mins. From station take a bus no 1 to Rhine falls. Rhine falls which is located along the border of Swiss and Germany is feast to your eyes. You may take boat ride which will take you very close to the falls. Evening return Zurich hotel by train.
• Day 10 : Say Good Bye to Switzerland

  Today check out and proceed to airport by train. If you are staying at Airport hotel then take a free shuttle bus and arrive at Zurich airport. Board a flight to your onward destination. Your tour ends with great memories to Cherish.
