Where the land meets the sea at the southern tip of West Bengal lies the Indian Sunderbans, a stretch of impenetrable mangrove forest of great size and bio-diversity. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sunderbans is a vast area covering 4264 square km in India alone. The Indian Sunderbans forms the largest Tiger Reserve and National Park in India. A paradise for birdwatchers, the list includes such rarities as the Masked Finfoot, Mangrove Pitta and the Mangrove Whistler.
The Sunderbans are a part of the world's largest delta formed by the mighty rivers Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna. Situated on the lower end of the Gangetic West Bengal, it is also the world鈥檚 largest estuarine forest. The Sunderbans is criss-crossed by hundreds of creeks and tributaries. It is one of the most attractive and alluring places remaining on earth, a truly undiscovered paradise.Air Fare/Train fare.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kolkata - Sunderban

  Early morning at 6.30 Breakfast and depart for Sunderban National Park, the world largest mangrove forest. Arrive at Sonakhali, Basanti around 9.30 am. Transfer to Boat Cruise. Sightseeing at Mangrove Convention Centre, Sajnekhali, presentation by Project Tiger Field Office, visit to Watchtower and spotting of pug-marks etc. Check in to the Resort. Lunch and little rest. Evening visit to Pakhiralaya and back to hotel. Around 18.30 hrs arrangement of Exclusive Cultural programme for the group (Optional). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Sunderban - Kolkata

  After breakfast, depart for sightseeing to Sudhanyakhali Sanctuary and Dobanke Village. Way back to Sonakhali, Basanti. Lunch on the Boat Cruise. Depart for Kolkata by AC Luxury Bus. Arrive Kolkata city and sightseeing to Victoria Memorial, Eden Garden and Princeps Ghat. Evening back to Kolkata for onward journey.
