In earlier 15th century it was known as 'Gaurimarg' in honour of Gauri, the consort of Lord Shiva, and later it was renamed as 'Gulmarg' by the mughals. Gulmarg is one of the world's highest green golf courses. It is country's premier skiing grounds during the winters.

Sonamarg - Splendid Sonamarg, the 'Meadow of Gold' is situated in the valley carved out by the waters of mighty Sindh River. It has a number of waterfalls and two lakes.

Pahalgam - Picturesque Pahalgam the perfect place for leisure, pleasure and relaxation and a humble shepherd's Village to kashmir's premier tourist resort. The scenic beauty is so tempting that one feels like having an endless holidays over here. Pahalgam is the most famous being the holy pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave.
