Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at Paro

    Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, the tour starts with an exploration of the city's swiftly flowing Paro River, where you'll seek for unusual and lovely local birds including the Ibisbill, Brown Dipper, Crested Kingfisher, and Wallcreeper. Several examples are White-capped, Russet, and Eurasian Tree Sparrows.and Common Wagtail, White and Grey Wagtail, Blue-fronted and Hodgson's Redstart, Plumbeous Water Redstart, and Additionally, there are Green Sandpipers, River Lapwings, Grey-backed Shrikes, Green-backed Tits, Rosy, and Olive-backed Pipits and Rufous-breasted Accentor .

  • Day 2 : Paro-Chelela-Thimphu

    Early early trip to Chelelapass, the highest motor road entrance birdwatching hotspot (around 4000 masl). Pheasants and other high-altitude species will be today's target species. You will be astounded by the regular sightings of Kalij Pheasants as you begin from the base. Later, as you reach the pass' halfway point, you The Satyr Trogopan's habitat will be where you'll eventually see Blood Pheasant and Himalayan Monals close to the pass.

    Other species on the way to and in the vicinity of the pass include Spotted, Black-faced, and Chestnut-crowned Laughingthrushes, Varieties of Tits, Collared and White-winged Grosbeak, Spotted Nutcracker, Sunbirds, Bullfinch, Finches, Woodpeckers, Treecreeper, Magpie, FulvettasYuhinas, and other alpine specialist birds species.

    While heading back towards capital city of Bhutan, Thimphu. You will explore Paro river basin for
    Ibisbill, Brown Dipper, Wallcreeper and other river species, incase if you missed during your first day
    birding. Our final stop for the day will be next to Thimphu city, sewage pond area for Solitary Snipe and Black-tailed Crake.

    Overnight at Thimphu

  • Day 3 : Thimphu-Punakha

    Drive to Dochula and then to Punakha in the morning. Look for Yuhina, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Finches, and other alpine birds along the Dochula pass. We shall explore Royal Botanical Park later when we descend. Around 220 different avifauna species may be found in the park, which is also a popular place for bird viewing. been recognised. Several species, including the Ward's Trogon, the Blue-fronted Robin, the Brown, and the Black-Great Parrotbill, throated Parrotbill, Golden-breasted Fulvetta, Minlas, Flycatchers, Laughingthrushes, and warblers plus a lot more.   • Day 4 : Punakha-Punakha

    The Jigme Dorji National Park and the Mo Chu River will be your bird-watching locations for the entire day. Red-headed Trogon, Wallcreeper, Slaty-bellied Tesia, Small and Large Niltava, Black-chinned Yuhinas, Slaty-back Forktail, Pygmy, Rufous-throated, and Spotted Wren are among the potential sightings. Laughingthrushes, Woodpeckers, babblers, and, hopefully, White-tailed Eagles and Pallas's Fish Eagles. You will also get an excellent look at more common species including Blue Herons, Great Cormorants, and Oriental Turtle Doves. Redstart, Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher, Rufous Sibia, Whistling Thrush, Plumbeous Water Redstart, and Green-White-capped Water Redstart, Golden-backed Tit, Brown Dipper, White-throated Laughingthrush, and the Verditer Flycatcher, the Great Barbet, the Grey Treepie, the Ashy Drongo, and the throated Barbet. River Lapwing, Grey, Black-vented Bulbul, Black Bulbul, and Brown-throated Treecreeper Large-billed Crow, Wagtail, and Gadwall.

    Overnight at Punakha

  • Day 5 : Punakha-Phobjikha

    You will wind your way to the Phobjkha valley in the early morning, stopping along the way to look for Blyth's Shrike Babbler, Ward's Trogon, Yellow-rumped Honeyguide, Himalayan Cutia, Grey-bellied Tesia, Grey-hooded, Blyth's, and Black-faced Warblers, Green-tailed and Mrs. Gloud's Sunbird, Striated Prinia, and other species. Rock Thrushes with chestnut-bellied and blue caps, White-capped aquatic Redstart, Pale-Blue Flycatcher Yellow-browed Tits, White-tailed Nuthatch, and Rusty-flanked Treecreeper. Prior to arriving at Phobjikha We'll stop in Lawala, where the greenery transforms into dwarf bamboo, and you can look for the species like the Spotted Nutcracker, Great Horned Owl, and Chestnut-crowned and Black-faced Laughingthrushes and White-browed Shortwing Yellow-billed Blue Magpie, Brown Parrotbills, Oriental Skylark, Red-Slender-billed Scimitar Babbler, Large-billed and Whistler's Warblers, and Oriental Skylark.

    Stay the night in Phobjikha

  • Day 6 : Phobjikha-Paro

    Check the Pelela Old Road again this morning in case we missed anything on our earlier birding excursion. If all goes according to plan, we may need to stop numerous times along the road.
    Overnight in Paro.

  • Day 7 : Paro-Paro

    Today, you will leave early in the morning to travel to Jana Gompa, a monastery located about two hours outside of Paro Valley. It is connected to a feeder road; a day-long rental of a 4WD vehicle is required. Early in the morning and late at night, a herd of Himalayan Monal gathers near the monastery for eating. This is where Take a photo of Monal while it is in its natural environment.

    Sleep in Paro.

  • Day 8 : Paro Departure
