Day 1 : Arrival in Chennai Airport
Arrival assistance in Chennai Airport, then transfer to the hotel. Have a rest in the hotel till afternoon. Have a lunch and proceed your visit to the important places of Chennai.
Chennai 鈥 "The capital city of Tamil Nadu" was established in the 17th century by the British as a major urban centre. By the 20th century, this city was turned into an administrative centre.
Government Museum: This museum was housed in the colonial building of 1857, exhibits lot of archeological findings and bronze gallery, numismatics etc. Fort St.George: Built in the 17th century where the present Tamil Nadu State Government has its Secretariat. Behind the fort, St. Mary鈥檚 Church, an Anglican church was built in the same period. Santhome Church: This Catholic Church was declared as the National Shrine and is located near by the Marina beach, built over the tomb of St.Thomas who was the Apostle of Jesus. Kapaleeswarar Temple: The Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva depicts the finest example of Dravidian Architecture

Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram
In the morning, Have an excursion to the Silk city named "Kanchipuram", the ancient capital of the Pallava dynasty ruled between 7th and 8th centuries. First and foremost, Visit the Ekambareshwara temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is the most famous one with tall towers, massive halls with sculptured pillars. Next, proceed to Kailasanatha temple which is also meant for Lord Shiva is the finest specimen for Pallava architecture with beautifully carved sculptures. Then have a lunch in the same city. In the afternoon, Drive to Mahabalipuram, the ancient port city of the Pallavas in the 7th century. Check into the hotel. Have a relax in the beach side.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
After the breakfast, before departing to Pondicherry have a visit to some monumental sites of Mahabalipuram. First, to Shore temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vishnu, and then to Five Rathas "Five Chariots", a monolithic structure, representing an unique style for each chariot built by the pallavas, then finally toArjuna鈥檚 Penance where we can find numerous bas-relief sculptures depicts gods, semi gods, sages and living creatures. Every year in the month of December and January, an annual dance festival will be organized in this city by the Department of Tourism.
In the afternoon, Drive to Pondicherry " The French Colony" and Check into the hotel. In the evening have a visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram, an Ashram dedicated to Sri Aurobindo who has introduced the Internal Yoga and Spiritual realizations. The Mother formerly known as "Mirra Alfasa", a Parisien who was worked with Sri Aurobindo is very popular. Lot of buildings in Grey & White colour belongs to Asharam and is situated in the French quarters. Also near by the ashram, there is a religious temple "Manakula Vinayaga" dedicated Lord Ganesha where you can see many rituals and real functioning of the temple. Have a visit to "The Church of Sacred Church" and "Notre dame des Anges" .Have a walk to the commercial streets, markets and then to beach side.
Day 4 : Pondicherry - Tanjore
After the breakfast, drive to Tanjore. On the way, visit the famous Nataraja temple dedicated to lord shiva in a small town named Chidhambaram. The roof plated with gold leaves is the major sanctum sanctorum and the presiding deity symbolizes the space, one of the five elements of the Universe. Then continue your drive to Tanjore. Enroute, visit the famous Gangaikondacholapuram belongs to 11th century built by the Chola dynasty, one of the World Protected UNESCO Site. In the late afternoon, visit the 12th century Chola temple in a small villageDarasuram and then proceed your travel to Tanjore.

Day 5 : Tanjore
Have a day excursion to Trichy. In the morning, have a stop in a place called AmmaMandpam 鈥 the holy banks of River Cauvery, where you can see the Hindu rituals after the cremation. It's quite interesting to see the rituals performed by the Hindus. Then visit the famous Vishnu temple in Srirangam, the most pilgrimage centre of the Hindus. This small holy city is also termed as the "Paradise on the earth". This magnificent temple has 21 colorful towers with the surface area of 60 hectares. Have a lunch in Trichy. Then return back to Tanjore to visit the Tanjore art gallery which houses the collection of sculptures and statues. In the evening , visit the most famous World Heritage Monument Sri Brihadeeshwara Temple built by the chola dynasty in the 10th century.

Day 6 : Tanjore - Chettinadu - Madurai
In the morning, drive to Chettinadu, a tranquil village belongs to the Chettiars, a rich community who made their business in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Burma, Singapore etc. Have a walk in the village streets and explore the region by seeing the various styles of houses with colorful paintings and statues. In the late afternoon, proceed to Madurai. Then visit the famous Tirumalainayak Palace built in the 16th century with grand pillars is the most attractive one. Have a visit to the Gandhi Museum which was housed in the 16th century Queen鈥檚 palace of Nayaka Dynasty gives a vast information about the Mahatma Gandhi and his life. In the evening have a relax in the hotel.

Day 7 : Madurai
A full day sightseeing of Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati to see the colorful towers and paintings, the pilgrims, the rituals going on in the temple complex, a thousand pillared hall with eye-catching sculptures. If you feel free, have a walk in the bazaar streets, vegetable markets or flower markets. In the late evening, have a visit to the Meenakshi temple to see the night ceremony at about 9 pm inside the temple. It鈥檚 really spiritual and interesting. Have a rest in the hotel.

Day 8 : Madurai - Periyar
Today you are going to travel a long distance. Enroute you can able to see many plantations like rice,sugarcane, cotton, papaya, grapes etc. In the afternoon after reaching periyar 鈥漷he frontier between Tamil Nadu and Kerala鈥 , have a visit to the spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, cinnamom, cloves, nutmeg, green chilly, pepper etc. In the evening if you feel free you can do the elephant ride, ayurvedic massage.

Day 9 : Periyar - Alleppey
After the breakfast, drive to Alleppey "the land of backwaters". On the way, you can see the tea plantations that serve as the natural greenish carpets. In the afternoon check in the houseboat and have a delicious lunch and enjoy the cruise in the Vembanadu Lake by passing through its canals for about 5 hours. In the evening, the boat will be stopped nearby one village and take your dinner in the boat itself. Have a comfortable stay in the houseboat and in the morning continue your cruise till 9 am with the breakfast.

Day 10 : Alleppey - Cochin
In the morning, after the check out from the houseboat, drive to Cochin also known as "Fort Kochi". Kochi is also known as the "Queen of the Arabian sea". In the afternoon have a visit to some important monuments and churches belongs to 15th and 16th centuries. First visit the St.Francis Church, the oldest protestant church built by the Portuguese in 1510, where you can see the tomb of a Portuguese Sailor Vasco-da-gama. Then to Santa Cruz Basilica, a catholic church andChinese Fishing nets. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the Mattancherry palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 AD and handed over to the Kerala king andJewish Synagogue built in 1568 but destroyed by the Portuguese and rebuilt by the Dutch. In the evening have a spectacle of traditional dance "KATHAKALI".

Day 11 : Cochin - Ooty
In the morning, drive to Ooty also known as "Nilgiris 鈥 the blue mountains". Have a pleasant evening by enjoying the chill climate. If time permits, you can visit the Botanical garden and a view point.

Day 12 : Ooty - Mysore
Start your travel little bit early to reach the Mysore soon. In the evening visit the temple of Chamundi dedicated to Goddess Parvati in Chamundi Hills and Devarajah Market which exhibits the flowers, fruits and vegetables and color powders.

Day 13 : Mysore
In the morning have a visit to Mysore Palace, a huge complex belongs to 19th century built by the Italian architect 鈥淗enry Irwin鈥. There is also audio guide in all languages. Please show the ticket at the checking point and try to utilize the above to know the richness and prosperity of the Wodeyar dynasty. Then proceed toSrirangapatna , the Tipu's capital. First visit the Vishnu temple, then to Tipu's summer palace. After finishing the visit drive to Somnathpur to visit the famous Krishna temple built by the hoysala dynasty in the 12th century. Then return back to Mysore. Have a pleasant stay with enjoyable climate.

Day 14 : Mysore - Hassan
After the breakfast, drive to Hassan. On the way visit the most popular Jain pilgrimage centre called "Shravanabelogola". This place is known for its Colossal monolithic statue of Gomateshwara. Visit the Hoysaleshwara temple in a small village called Halebidu and another one in Belur, the Chenna Kesava Temple. Both the temples belong to the Hoysala dynasty of 12th century. Both were declared as the protected sites of Department of Archeology.

Day 15 : Hassan - Hospet
In the morning have a long drive to reach Hospet. On the way visit the grand fortress named "Chitradurga" on top of granite hills that raises from the ground. This land was under the rule of Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas,Hoysalas, Vijayanagara, Nayakas, Tipusultan and finally by the British. The period of the rule by different dynasties falls from 3th century to 19th century. Finally, the fort came under the rule of the Royal Mysore family. Then drive to Hospet. In the evening, have a relax in the hotel.

Day 16 : Hospet
After the breakfast, have a full day visit of Hampi "the capital of great Vijayanagara dynasty" which is situated 10kms from Hospet. The interesting places are Ganesha Temple, Ukra Narasimha Temple, Krishna Temple, Lotus Mahal, Stepped tank, Viruppaksha Temple (the only functioning temple), the Vittala temple, the buildings of old bazaars, the Golden Chariot etc. Then return back to the hotel.

Day 17 : Hospet - Badami
In the morning drive to Aihole, the 5th century Durga Temple built by the Chalukyan dynasty and then proceed your way to Pattadakal, a huge temple complex which houses seven Shiva temples. The names of the deity are unique and the architecture is also different. The entire temple area looks like a cluster of temples belongs to the Chalukyan empire in the 5th and 6th centuries. In the evening have a visit to Badami Caves which is also built by the Chalukyas. There are four major caves out of which the first one is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the second & third to Lord Vishnu and the last one is for Jains. The surrounding areas are covered by massive rocks with red stones gives an impressive outlook of the caves and offers a good sunset point.

Day 18 : Badami - Goa
After the breakfast have a long drive from Badami to Goa. In the evening have a relax in the hotel at the beach side.

Day 19 : Goa
Full day free to explore the beaches of Goa. In the morning, if you feel free you can be visit the important churches like Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, St.Francis of Assissi etc. Then have a walk in the beach side like Calangute beach or Colva beach.

Day 20 : Departure from Goa Airport
