Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Departure to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly Station – Darjeeling

  You are greeted on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station by GATEWAY Holidays representative and thereafter proceed for Darjeeling (7,200 ft. / 95 km / 4 hours), The Queen of Hill’s. On arrival, check in at hotel. Evening free for walk in the Mall. After exploring the entire place, retire to the hotel for an overnight stay. O/N : Darjeeling
• Day 2 : Darjeeling

  Early morning, wake up rejuvenated and embark on a sightseeing tour of Tiger Hill (8,500 ft), the famous sunrise point in eastern Himalaya and get the breathtaking view of the changing colour reflection over the Mt. Khnagchendzonga Peak , on return journey visit Batasia Loop ,this is a war memorial, then visit Ghoom Monastery ,one of the oldest monastery . After breakfast proceed for a panoramic drive down through the lush green world famous Darjeeling Tea Garden, Rock Garden & Ganga Maiya Park.

• Day 3 : Darjeeling – Pelling

  Enjoy a beautiful morning in the lap of nature and get ready to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of Pelling. (7,000ft. /124 km. /6 hours) The Himalayas and the Kanchenjanga may be viewed at close quarters from Pelling. Pelling is also known as the Hallmark Land of Eastern Himalaya. On arrival, at Pelling check in at your hotel. After exploring the entire place by your own, retire to the hotel for an overnight stay. O/N : Pelling.

  After a delicious breakfast, embark on an excursion to explore Pemayangtse Monastery, built in 17th. Century, it is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of the Nyingmapa. Visit Khecheopalri Lake & Shingshore Suspension Bridge is worth seeing – length & gorge height is 680 ft. It is the second highest bridge in Asia. Visit Khandu Sangphu, it is a hot-spring & the Cave of Lord Guru Rimpche. Enjoy the scenic beauty waterfalls. After exploring the entire place by your own, retire to the hotel for an overnight stay. • Day 5 : Pelling – Gangtok

After breakfast drive to Gangtok, nearly 135 Kilometers, approxi. 3 – 3 ½ hours journey. Gangtok, the capital and the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. Sikkim is one of the most beautiful hill station with varied options for tourist. It is known for the monastery, Orchids, High altitude Lake, hot water spring, majestic Himalayan range and butterflies. On arrival check into hotel. • Day 6 : Gangtok – Lachung

  After breakfast, depart for Lachung (8610 ft./135km/6 hours) ,it has been described as the ‘most picturesque village of Sikkim’ by Joseph Dalton in his ‘Himalayan Journal’(1855),situated in North Sikkim. Lachung is an exquisite valley town resplendent in its crown of snowcapped mountain, breathtaking waterfalls and sparkling streams. On arrival, at Lachung check in at hotel. O/N : Lachung.

• Day 7 : Lachung – Yumthang –Gangtok

  After early breakfast drive to Yumthang valley (11,800 ft./24 km / 2 hours) excursion tour. Yumthang, where the tree line ends and the rhododendron groves cover the landscape in a surreal shade. Yumthang is also called the valley of flowers. Yumthang is also known for its hot spring, which have healing medicinal properties. After exploring the entire place drive back to Lachung and then continue the journey to Gangtok (5,500 ft/135 km/6 hours).On arrival check in at hotel .O/N : Gangtok.

  After a delicious breakfast, embark on an excursion Tsongmo Lake. It has perhaps one of the most beautiful landscapes in Sikkim. On the Gangtok – Nathu La highway, Tsomgo Lake is situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Also known as Changu Lake, Tsongmo Lake is regarded as a very sacred lake by the local Buddhists and the Hindus. Tsomgo Lake extends to 1 km in length, deepens to 15 meters and happens to be oval in its shape. There after visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial. After exploring the entire place drive back to Gangtok. O/N : Gangtok.

• Day 9 : Gangtok – Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station

  Soon after breakfast, check-out from the hotel, with many wonderful memories drive back to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station (124 km/ 4 hours) for onward Destination.
