Day 1 : Arrive Colombo- Negombo ( Approx 01 Hrs Drive)
Arrival at Colombo Airport, followed by a transfer to Negombo on the West Coast of Sri Lanka. Overnight in Negombo. (D)
Day 2 : Negombo – Dambulla ( Approx 03 Hrs Drive)
Head to Habarana after breakfast in Negombo for a visit to the Muneeswaram Temple. This ancient temple is associated with myths surrounding the popular Indian epic Ramayana and its main protagonist and hero-king Lord Rama. Proceed to Manavari Temple, home to Ramalinga Shivan, the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama. Overnight stay in Dambulla. (B & D)
Day 3 : Dambulla– Trincomalee ( Approx 02 Hrs Drive)
Visit Trincomalee post breakfast for a trip to the Thiru Koneshwaram Temple & Hot Water Spring. This historic temple was built by sage Agasthyar on the directions of Lord Shiva, who was highly impressed by the devotion of Lankan King Ravana. Overnight stay in Trincomalee. (B & D)
Day 4 : Trincomalee - Kandy ( Approx 04 Hrs Drive)
Day 4 begins with a sumptuous breakfast, followed by a city tour of Kandy. This city trip will include visits to Market Square, Upper Lake Drive and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, often considered as Sri Lanka’s most prized possession. This will be followed by a visit to the Canbury Gem Museum in Ampitiya Road, Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy. (B & D)
Day 5 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya ( Approx 02 ½ Drive)
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya after an early breakfast. En route, visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, 30kms from the city. The splendid hills of Ramboda are associated with Hanuman’s search for Sitadevi, and this historic temple was built by the Chinmaya Mission with Hanuman as the presiding deity. Thereafter visit the Seetha Amman Temple. The stream running down the hill here once catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her time at Ashoka Vatika. She is believed to have bathed in this very stream. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. (B & D)
Day 6 : Nuwara Eliya - Colombo ( Approx 05 Hrs Drive)
Proceed to Colombo after breakfast and drive through the city to explore the busy commercial areas and the residential Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, Colombo’s central business district and Sea Street – Goldsmiths’ quarters in Pettah. You’ll then be exploring the Bazaar area that features a Hindu Temple and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal. You can also admire the historic Dawatagaha Mosque, and finally there’s a visit to the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), which houses the replica of Avukana Buddha, and the Independence Square, best known for its Independence Memorial Hall. Overnight in Colombo. (B & D)
Day 7 : Depart Colombo – Airport (Approx 45 Mins Drive)
An early morning breakfast, and you will be left with ample of leisure time before proceeding to the airport for your return flight. (B)
