Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi – Leh (By Flight @ 05:40 – 07:05)

  Arrival at Delhi airport
  Take a flight to Leh from Delhi
  On arrival at Leh pick up by DCT representative
  Relax at the Hotel
  Dinner at the Hotel

  Feel the cool breeze as you arrive at Kushok Bakula Airport Leh 3500m. Our representative shall receive you at the airport and then transferred to hotel. Full day at rest at your hotel room to acclimatize to the altitude of Ladakh which is must. Evening you can go for a brisk walk to stretch your body.

• Day 2 : Leh Sightseeing (By ROAD)

  Today we take a relaxing day till lunch time, after lunch we proceed to visit Leh Palace, the formidable 16th century seat of the Kingdom of Ladakh, thereafter we drive to visit Stanti stupa, a lovely white stupa atop a low lying hill and then members will enjoy a short walk to Leh bazaar through the Changspa street which is dotted with curio shops, local houses, and small cafeterias. Spend some time in Leh bazaar exploring some of its interesting markets.

  Morning drive to Alchi 68km enroute visit Magnetic hill, Sangam of Indus & Zanskar Rivers which are the two major rivers in Ladakh & followed by visit to the magnificient Basgo Castle. Afternoon on arrival in Alchi village checkin at the Hotel and later visit the 1000 year old miniature paintings of Alchi monastery which is among the top 7 national heritage monuments in India. Evening relax and stroll around the village.

• Day 6 : Leh - Indus Valley Tour (By ROAD)

  Today we shall take you for a Fullday tour of some of the most important and beautiful Monasteries and Palaces on the Indus Valley along driving along River Indus. You shall visit the former summer Palace of the kings of Ladakh i.e. Shey Palace, mini potala like Monastery in Ladakh i.e. Thiksey Monastery which also enshrines the most beautiful statue of Maitrey Buddha and later the largest and the richest monastery in Ladakh i.e. Hemis Monastery. Back to Leh by evening and free at leisure.

  Morning drive to Nubra Valley 125km crossing Khardongla Pass 18360 ft, the world highest motorable pass. Afternoon visit Diskit & Hunder Monasteries and the white sand dunes with perhaps a Camel Safari on the double humped camles which are found only in Nubra as far as India is concerned.

• Day 8 : Nubra Valley – Leh (By ROAD)

  Later visit Diskit Monastery
  Then drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass

  Morning after breakfast drive back to leh enroute visit 14th  Diskit Monastery The monastery belongs to Gelugpa order or the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, the disciple of Tsong Khapa, in 14th century. The impressive 106 foot statue of Maitreya Buddha is another tourist attraction at Diskit. After visit monastery then drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass.  Evening free in Leh bazaars.

• Day 9 : Leh to Pangong Lake (By ROAD)

  Early morning fullday excursion to Pangong Lake 135 km / 4400m east of Leh crossing Changla Pass 17500ft, we driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. Afternoon explore the lake and enjoy a romantic walk along the lake. Visit the Exact Spots where the Famous Bollywood movie "3 Idiots" was Shot. Evening visit the tiny nomadic village located at a distance.

• Day 10 : Pangong – Leh (By ROAD)

  Drive back to Leh enroute Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea

  Members can enjoy early morning photo-shoots of the lake which looks great, breakfast and then drive back to Leh. En route take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Back to Leh by noon.

• Day 11 : Leh – Lamayuru - Kargil (By ROAD)

  Pack up in the morning and head for the next drive towards Kashmir valley. First halt will be at Kargil 210 kms. On the way stop for photo at Lunar-like landscapes near Lamayuru village,  on arrival in Mulbekh we check-in at the deluxe camp near the steam.

• Day 12 : Kargil – Srinagar (By ROAD)

  Drive to Leh via Tsokar Lake route.

  Morning after breakfast drive to Srinagar 245km, on the way visit the giant rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha at Mulbekh a short distance from your camp, and thereafter we drive through the narrow bazaar of kargil. Further on the way we stop for tea and photo at Drass. Cross Zojila pass and enter the lush green valley of Sonamarg.
  Arrival at Srinagar by evening and drop at your hotel.
