In case of not holding the above document, you need to approach to the office of Consulate General of India, India Embassy for getting permission for entry into Bhutan. Note: Indian Embassy is closed on Saturday & Sunday. Permit on Saturday & Sunday is issued by Main Gate office, Department of immigration, Phuentsholling, Bhutan
Don.ts
Do not carry Indian INR 500/- or INR 1000/- Currency Notes. It is Illegal.
Tobacco & Tobacco products are banned in Bhutan.
Do not bring any plant or agricultural product out of Bhutan. It is Illegal.
Credit cards are accepted in selected establishments in Bhutan.
Tips for Traveler
Request permission before taking photographs of people, events or objects
Inside the premises of Temples, Dzongs or Monastery, taking photographs is not permitted.
Photographs is only permitted in the court yard area.
Artifacts or Antiques, large or small, ruined or not, they are regarded as sacred.
Please take of hats while entering Dzongs, Temples or Monastery.
Shorts / Half Pants are not permitted while entering a Dzong, Temple or Monastery
While in a Dzong, Temple, Monastery, please switch off cell phones or in the Silent / Vibrating Mode
Please speak softly within the religious premises
Check-in 12:00 hours / Check-out time is 11:00 hours in hotel
Please keep cool with the drivers as they are not tourism educated and come from different remote villages
On arrival of guests we will provide local contact numbers of our executive, who will handle the entire operation
If any tourist spot do not complete for closing day & if they want to do the same on next day then they have to pay the extra cost for the vehicle
Please maintain the timing for the sightseeing / transfers - Guerst has to arrange their own to reach at the parking stand
Room Heater available with an Extra Cost Bourne by the guest directly (Except at Premium & Luxury Packages)
Due to shortage of power the guest sometimes, may have to bear it with candle light
For Extra Adult in the room we will provide an Extra Bed (wherever possible), but some hotels only provide a roll out bed and have no provision of an Extra Bed
Operator reserves the right to re-arrange itinerary to suit hotel availability without changing the total number of days in each destination and without compromising any services

Day 1 : Arrival New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
Arrival New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri and Transfer to Phuentsholling - On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri . Guest will be received by our executive who will be waiting just outside of the airport or railway station . He will assist guest to board the vehicle to proceed for Phuentsholling . The drive is of 165 kilometers i.e. 4 to 4 . hour.s drive through the lush green Tea Estate of Duars - On arrival at Phuentsholling . Check into hotel - The border of India & Bhutan, the Indian side is known as Jaigaon and the Bhutan part is called Phuentsholling - Situated at an altitude of nearly 980 feet is a small settlement . Night stay at Hotel at either Phuentsholling or Jaigaon
Day 2 : Permit to Be Obtained and Transfer to Paro
Permit to be obtained and Transfer to Paro (2250 meters / 7382 feet) . Drive 175 kilometers in 6 . . 7 hours - This beautiful city of Bhutan is situated at an altitude of nearly 2250 meters / 7382 feet - Paro is a beautiful valley encapsulates the rich culture, scenic beauty with hundreds of myths and legends - ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ to many of Bhutan.s oldest temples and monasteries and the National Museum - Places you must see when you are Drukgyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Kila Gompa, Druk Choeding - Taktsang Monastery or Tiger's Nest is a good 3 hour climb uphill and is one day program - On arrival at Paro and transfer to the hotel - Evening take a stroll around town & main street - Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 3 : Paro Local Sightseeing
Early morning breakfast . Paro has many sites for tourist to roam around . Three night stay is the minimum requirement to visit all places - The main tourist attractions in Paro are Nya-mey Zam or .the bridge with no fish. - Ta Dzong, .Ta.means to see / watch and .dzong. means fortress - Dungtse Lhankhang - Drukgyel Dzong or .fortress of the victorious Drukpas. - Kyichu Lhakhang - Kila Gompa - Druk Choeding - Next Rinpung Dzong or .the fortress of the heap of jewels.- Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong situated at commanding height, overlooking Paro valley - This Dzong is symbolic as the religious and secular centre of all affairs of the valley - Late afternoon back to hotel . Evening free to stroll around the local market . Night stay in hotel / resort in Paro

- Excursion to Takshang Monastery (3180 meters /10430 feet) - Early breakfast we drive to Taktsang Monastery or .The Tiger.s Nest. - A short drive to Satsam Chorten and from there a 2 hour horse ride or hike to the viewpoint of the monastery - The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags - If you are physically fit to walk then you could take this short hike up to the Taktsang - The majestic Jumolhari or the Mountain of Goddess can be seen in the background while hiking up to Taktsang - This incredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below - It was here that the great tantric master Guru Padma Sambhava flew in from Tibet on a tiger to bring Buddhist teachings to Bhutan - It is a short climb of 2 hours to 3 hours to the top - Sightseeing ends - Guest may spend the day by shopping or simply walking through the town or relax . Overnight stay in hotel / resort in Paro

Excursion to Chele La pass (3988 meters / 13084 feet) - Chele la (Pass) is situated at an elevation 3988 meters is considered to be one of the highest motor able passes in Bhutan . It is nearly 35 kilometers and about an hour later from Paro - About an hour's drive along a thickly - forested road is a botanical paradise - The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake - Made all the more mysterious and beautiful with its abundance of prayer flags - Guest can witness the cascades of wild roses; purple and yellow primulas; and swathes of deep blue iris covering the forest floor . Back to resort - Guest may spend the day by shopping or simply walking through the town or relax . Overnight stay in hotel / resort in Paro
Optional - Drive on to Haa (2700 meters / 8900 feet) - descending all the way for another 22 kilometers nearly an hours drive to Haa - The Haa Dzong view from outside is stunning . One can also visit to the famous Monastery of Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) followed by visit to Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple) . Three hours drive back to Paro
Day 4 : Transfer from Paro to Phuentsholing
Transfer from Paro to Phuentsholing (179 kilometers, 6 - 7 hours) - After breakfast, drive to Phuentsholing en route - Thimpu / Phuentsholing road was built in 1962 by Dantak, the Indian Border road organization - The drive on this route is very pleasant with numerous scenic spots en route - Just before, arriving Phuentsholing, visit Kharbandi Goemba, the monastery built in 1967 - It houses the large and attractive statues of Sakyamuni, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and Guru Rinpoche . Arrive Phuentsholling . Evening free to stroll around the area . Check into Hotel - Overnight at the hotel in Phuentsholing
Day 5 : Transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
Transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri from Paro . Early morning breakfast or breakfast on the route . Check out of the hotel and start for Phuntsho Chholing (Phuntsholing) / Dooars / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri . One can stay in Dooars or drive directly to Airport or station - Siliguri is roughly 170 kilometers and is 4 . 5 hours drive . Forwarding journey
