• Day 1 : Pathankot to Dalhousie Local Side Seen & Market Visit

  Pick up Pathankot Railway station Move Dalhousie Hotel after fresh to See run way side Seen Visit Subhash Baoli is located at a distance of 1 Km from Dalhousie is the picturesque view of Subhash. Panchpula is almost 3 km. there is a very beautiful monument erected at Panchpula where several streams meet at one point. That is Samadhi monument was built in memory of great sardar Ajit Singh. Satdhara Falls, located on the way to Panchpula is one of the most popular sightseeing attractions of Dalhousie. Perched at an altitude of 2036 m above sea level, the place has derived its name from the seven beautiful springs. St. Andrew's Church was built in the year 1903 at balloon by protestant Christians and commonly known as the Church of Scotland. St. Johns Church The church is approximately 2 km from the main bus stand and it stands on the Gandhi chowk. Rev. John H. Pratt came to Dalhousie in 1863 and inspired the Christian community to build a permanent church building at this place. City Shopping, Dalhousie Overview The bustling and vibrant street of Gandhi Chowk is known as the lifeline of Dalhousie. If you want to buy unique handicrafts and experience local talent, then Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie is the place for you. Also known as GPO, this place is filled with various markets and shops; ranging from The Tibetan Market, the Himachal Handloom Industry Emporium, Himachal Handloom and Crafts Centre and Tibetan Handicrafts Centre. There is a plethora of various small shops to fulfill your list of gift items. All the major buildings and hotels are situated here, at GPO. The Tibetan market is a popular spot, which offers a variety of goods including bags, dolls, carpets, purses and handicrafts. The Himachal Handloom Industry Emporium on Thandi sarak is known for its traditional Kashmiri shawls; which reflects the intricate craftsmanship of the locals. These handicrafts are unique in their own way. Bhuttico was established by local women in the mid 19th century. It offers a wide range of the famous Kullu shawls; made from lamb's wool, angora, pashmina. Recently, they have also started making the popular embroidered shawls.

  Dainkund is only 10 km. one can enjoy the beautiful view of the hills, with the rivers Ravi, Beas and Chenab threading through the distance. A Devi Temple is also situated on the hill.
  Kala Top Wildlife Sanctuary The wildlife reserves, provides shelter to various species of flora and fauna. Kala top is a pleasant getaway, only 5 km from Dalhousie, with a panoramic view and a forest rest house.
  Bakrota Hills 2,085 meters (4.8 km) the magnificent Bakrota Hills offer to the tourists an unforgettable walk round the hills besides a grand view of snow-clad peaks.
  Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level". Khajjiar is often referred to as "Gulmarg of Himachal Pradesh the lush green meadows are surrounded by thick pine and cedar forests. Grazing herds of sheep, goats and other milch cattle present a prefect pastoral scenery.
  BaraPathar Bara Pather is a famous temple in Dalhousie that attracts a lot of visitors everyday. It is located amidst the quiet and pristine surroundings of Chamba Valley and is dedicated to Bhulwani Mata. The tourists love visiting this place for its excellent views of the snow-clad Himalayas and the pleasant weather that makes the environment cool and comfortable. Bara Pather is only 4 km away fromDalhousie, and is on the way to Kalatop. Though the scenic beauty of this place is worth a visit, many tourists come here only to visit the Bhulwani Mata's temple, which is positioned in the village of Ahla amid the thick forests.
  Chamba is the northwestern district of Himachal Pradesh, in India, with its headquarters in Chamba town. The towns of Dalhousie and Khajjiar are popular hill stations and vacation spots for the people from the plains of northern India.
  Laxmi Narayan Temple: It is the most famous tourist attraction place in Chamba. There are six temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Three temples are dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and another three to Lord Shiva.
  Bhuri Singh Museum: The museum houses a vast number of original Pahari art and sculptures. Some notable collections include Basohli and Kangra paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as, a collection of Rumals from the 7th century onward.
  Chamera Lekh Dam impounds the River Ravi and supports the hydroelectricity project in the region. It is located near the town ofDalhousie, in the Chamba district in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India The reservoir of the dam is the Chamera Lake.

  Dalai Lama Temple:- The Dalai Lama is considered to be the successor in a line of tulkus (living Buddhas, masters) who are believed to be incarnations of Avalokiteśvara, a Bodhisattva of Compassion. The name is a combination of the Mongolic word Dalai meaning "ocean" or "big" (coming from Mongolian title Dalai in qan or Dalian khan, translated as 'Gyatso' in Tibetan) and the Tibetan word ་(bla-ma) meaning "master, guru".
  Bhagsu Nath Temple and Water fall about two kilometers from McLeod is a holy pilgrim site for Hindus. Bhagsu, as it is better known has an ancient Shiv temple. It is a treat for tourist making it to Dharamshala during the hot months.
  McLeodganj Market is famous for its culture, crafts, etc. and tourists flock in from different parts of the world to experience it and be a part of it. The shopping experience in McLeodganj is worth remembering, provided you know how to bargain and purchase the local items of the place such as Tibetan mats and carpets. The area is also famous for its jewelry. Handmade paintings are a hit there, are beautifully made and a perfect gift to give someone.

  McLeodGanj is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa" (a short form of Dharamshala used mainly by Tibetans) because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.
  Naddi & Dal Lake Just 2 kms from Mcleodganj is the sacred Dal Lake known for its religious water. The lake is regarded is the lake of Lord Shiva. One kms ahead is the famous location called Naddi, St. John's Church one of the most poignant memories of the British Raj is the church of St. John, situated in the wilderness.   Gyuto Monastery Sidhbari is where is located the Karmapas temporary residence, at Gyuto monastery. Sidhbari is about six kilometers from Dharamshala. Karmapa means "the one who carries out Buddha-activity" or "the embodiment of all the activities of the Buddha’s.
  Chinmaya Nestled in the spectacular Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas is the Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram. It is, one of the main retreats of the Chinmaya Mission. It is important as a center of the Sandeep any Vedanta course, meditation camps, Vedic teachings Criket Stadium Cricket stadium set against the backdrop of the dramatic snow clad mountains, is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of Kangra valley. Today, Dharamshala has become the synonymous to the Tibetan government in exile and the home town of Tibetan leader His Holiness Dalai Lama along with the Cricket Stadium.
