Travelling from Delhi to Kathmandu is a fascinating journey in Asia. We, not only explore the two national capitals but our comprehensive tour combines fabulous cultural sights – Forts and Palaces of Jaipur, Taj Mahal of Agra, Ganges of Varanasi and the exciting National Park in Nepal famed for its rhinos.

We start our journey in vibrant Delhi with a sightseeing tour to explore the rich cultural heritage of this great city. We then travel west to Jaipur - often described as the Pink City of India, boasting of its magnificent past, robust tradition, and above all, the architectural elegance and splendour of its glittering palaces.

A highlight of the trip is our sunrise visit to Taj Mahal where we see the pale marble change hue in spectacular fashion as the light changes with the movement of the sun. An overnight train journey is also an enjoyable experience in India and a great way to travel to Varanasi where fascinating Hindu bathing Ghats along the Holy Ganges beckons us. From here we head north to cross the border into Nepal for visits to Buddha’s birthplace and further to Chitwan National Park, famous for its population of Indian one-horned rhinoceros. A thrilling elephant-back safari practically guarantees our close encounter with the rhinos. Finally we reach Kathmandu, a valley on the threshold of the high Himalayan peaks. The city of Kathmandu is a great place to explore historic sites, ancient temples and shrines of both Buddhist and Hindu religions providing a fitting finale to a memorable tour.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : DELHI

  Arrival in Delhi. Arrive at the international airport of Delhi. After traditional welcome we transfer to the hotel for check-in. We rejuvenate ourselves for the following day. Overnight Hotel
• Day 2 : JAIPUR

  Delhi Sight-seeing – Jaipur (260 kms/4-5 hrs). In the half-day sightseeing programme in Delhi visit Jama Masjid – the biggest mosque in India, India Gate – memorial built of Indian soldiers, Raj Ghat – cremation place of Mahatma Gandhi and the colonial buildings. In the afternoon drive to Jaipur. Overnight Hotel

• Day 3 : JAIPUR

  Sight-seeing of Jaipur. In the sightseeing programme of Jaipur visit Amber Fort in Amer, City Palace, Jantar Mantar (the 18th century observatory) and Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds) in Jaipur. Overnight Hotel

• Day 4 : AGRA

  Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (240 kms/4-5 hrs). After breakfast today drive to Agra. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, the Palace that was built by the 3rd Mughal king, Mohd. Akbar and abandoned only after a few years. Overnight Hotel

• Day 5 : AGRA

  Sight-seeing of Agra & O/N train to Varanasi. Today at sunrise visit Taj Mahal and return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit Agra Fort. In the evening catch the overnight train to Varanasi. Overnight Train

• Day 6 : VARANASI

  Arrive in Varanasi. In the morning arrive in Varanasi and transfer to hotel for check in. Afternoon is free to relax. In the evening make an optional visit to watch spectacular evening puja ceremony on one of the Ghats on the Ganges. Overnight Hotel
• Day 7 : VARANASI

  Sightseeing of Varanasi. Early in the morning today take a boat-ride on the Ganges to watch Hindu rituals being performed in the Ghats. In the afternoon visit Sarnath, a small place where Mahatma Buddha delivered his first sermon. Overnight Hotel
• Day 8 : LUMBINI

  Varanasi – Lumbini (400 kms/10-11 hrs). Today is a full-day drive to Lumbini - crossing border into Nepal. There is nothing slated for the rest of the day as all would be tired from the journey. Overnight Hotel
• Day 9 : CHITWAN

  Lumbini – Chitwan (180 kms/4-5 hrs). In the morning visit the sacred Lumbini Garden and the famous Maya Devi Temple where Lord Buddha was born. Later drive to Chitwan National Park, one of the finest and biggest national parks in Asia. Overnight Hotel
• Day 10 : CHITWAN

  Chitwan National Park. In the morning visit Chitwan National Park. The sightseeing programme here includes jungle walk, canoe trip and an elephant safari into the park to see rhinos in their natural habitat, besides many other animal and bird species. Overnight Hotel

• Day 11 : KATHMANDU

  Chitwan – Kathmandu (170 kms/4-5 hrs). In the morning drive to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Check into the hotel in the afternoon and relax as the evening is free. Overnight Hotel
• Day 12 : KATHMANDU

  Sight-seeing of Kathmandu. In the full-day sightseeing tour of the city visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath temples and Durbar Square, a place where palaces of Malla and Shah Kings are situated. Overnight Hotel
• Day 13 : KATHMANDU

  Tour Concludes. After check-out from the hotel transfer to the international airport or any other point of convenience in Kathmandu for onward journey to respective countries.
