Package Overview

Nantu Forest is located in the heart of the Wallacea region in Gorontalo Province, northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Wallacea is the wildlife transition zone between Asia and Australia. Nantu Forest consists of Nantu Wildlife Reserve (Suaka Margasatwa, 33.023 ha), Protection Forest (19.606 ha) and Production Forest (10.002 ha). In other words; 500 square kilometers of virgin rainforest.

The forest is very important for the ecosystem services it provides. A community of appr. 30.000 lives within the Nantu and Paguyaman river watershed and is completely dependent on these rivers for its water supply. Nantu鈥檚 carbon content is invaluable. If the forests were cleared, up to 50 million tonnes of CO2 could be released to the atmosphere.Airplane ticket, Airport tax & Porter

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive 鈥� Manado City Tour

  Upon arrival at Manado airport, you鈥檒l welcome and pick up by our representative and then transfer to Manado for city tour, visiting : 鈥淏an Hing Kiong鈥� the oldest Chinese temple in East Indonesia, located at the China town of Manado, Bersehati Fish market, Boulevard st the center of Biz in Manado,etc.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Dinner
• Day 2 : Manado 鈥� Gorontalo

  After breakfast at the hotel, drive directly to Gorontalo passing Amurang, Inobonto, Lolak and Kwandang. Lunch will be served en route. Along the way you鈥檒l have nice panorama of plantations (Cloves, Cinnamon,etc), paddy fields, beaches, fisherman village and local life style. Late afternoon arrive in Gorontalo, check in at the hotel.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Day 3 : Gorontalo 鈥� Paguyaman / Nantu Forest

  After having b鈥檉ast, will arrange the permition at Foreign police at Gorontalo for Nantu Wildlife Sanctuary, afterwards drive directly to Nantu forest. Lunch will then be served en route. Arrive in Nantu village you鈥檒l have free at leisure.

• Day 4 : Full Day Nantu Forest Tour

  After early b鈥檉ast at the cottage, you鈥檒l have half day touur (B.L.D)r in Nantu forest to see the Pig Deer & Anoa from observation place or from the place that the ranger will takes you. After Lunch transfer to Gorontalo and Chek In Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
