Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival Yangon

    Arrival at Yangon international airport, meet with your guide and transfer to your hotel. Until recently Yangon has been the capital of Myanmar since the British transformed it into their administrative centre of future India. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes Yangon one of the most fascinating capitals of South East Asia. Overnight in Yangon.

  • Day 2 : Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo

    Breakfast at hotel and drive to Kyaikhtiyo, (190 km, approx 6 hour). Upon arrival at Kim pun base camp board on an open truck for (11 km, approx 45 minutes) steep but well - paved road leads to the upper staging point of Yathetaung camp. Continue walk up (4 km, approx 45 min) to the renowned Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda site 1180 meters above sea level. As an easier alternative to walking, four porters at an extra cost can carry you in a sedan chair. The Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda, 7.3 meters high, built on a gold - gilded boulder, 25 meters in circumference, and balanced in what appears to be a very precarious position on a tabular rock jutting out from a ridge in the Eastern Yoma Mountains. Kyaikhtiyo is likely to be one of Myanmar's most spiritual experiences. Overnight in Kyaikhteeyoe.

    It's suggested that you pack an overnight bag for the one - night stop in Kyaikhtiyo - the remainder of your luggage can be left at your car.

  • Day 3 : Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon

    Breakfast at hotel and walk down to the upper camp, board on the truck and return to base camp. Meet your driver and proceed to Bago (110 km, approx 3 hours) 13th century capital. Visit the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which is even larger than the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, and the Shwethalyaung Buddha, one of the largest Reclining Buddha Images in existence. If time permit you may visit further sightseeing at Bago such as Hinthagone Pagoda, the place where Bago was founded and Hanthawadi palace site surrounding a former Mon palace ground. Return to Yangon (80 km, approx 1 hour). Overnight in Yangon.

  • Day 4 : Yangon - Bagan

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for Bagan bound flight. Bagan, the 11th century archaeological site is considered one of the most remarkable sites in Asia. Upon arrive at Nyaung U airport, transfer to hotel. After a brief fresh up visit Gawdawpalin one of the largest and most imposing Monument in Bagan, Shwegugyi temple of transitional in style between the early and late Bagan period, Thabyinnyu temple, the highest monument of universal science, Shwesandaw temple for panoramic view of entire ruins, Dhammyangyi unique of double Image of Buddha, Myingabar Gubyaukgyi, meaning "great painted cave temple" for its exquisite mural paintings, Myazedi pillar inscribed in four language mainly Myanmar, Mon, Pali and Pyu, Manhua temple with captive king's impression of life imprisonment and Abeyadana temple famous for it's fine mural paintings on Mahayana Buddhism. Visit one of the lacquer ware workshop to observe process of traditional Myanmar souvenir. Enjoy sunset from either newly built watch tower or one of the ruins. Overnight in Bagan.

  • Day 5 : Bagan - Mandalay - Maymyo - Mandalay

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for Mandalay bound flight. Mandalay (founded 1857 by king Mindon) is the last kingdom as well as the center of the Myanma cultural, tradition, arts and crafts has long been known as a centre of skilled craftsmanship and in former times supplied the royal courts. Upon arrival at Mandalay depart for Maymyo (68 km, approx 1½ hour), famous for its climate weather, popular hill station of the British during colonial days in Myanmar. Established during the colonial era, it is today a crossroad for traders coming over from China and this is reflected in its colorful market. Maymyo impresses with its many churches, colonial styled buildings with English style gables, turrets and chimneys etc. The unique horse - drawn royal carriages play vital role in mode of transport till today. The Maymyo botanical garden of 432 acres lay out by Sir Harcourt Butler, former Governor of Burma to be a worthwhile to visit. After visit enchanting Maymyo market and Pwe Kauk waterfall return to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.

  • Day 6 : Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay

    Breakfast at hotel proceed to Mayan Chan jetty often busy with buffaloes logging on the Myanma superlative teak and people working with the Bamboo rafting etc. Board on a local fishermen boat for Mingun across Ayeyarwady river (11 km, approx 1 hour) across Ayeyarwady river. Observe the world's largest ringing bell casted by Bodawpaya in 1080 weighing 55555 viss which calculated equal to 90 tons and Mingun Pahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remain of King Bodawpaya ambition to make it the world's largest Buddhist stupa. Other tour highlights are Settawya Pagoda with a marble foot print of Buddha and Shin Byu Me Pagoda built in 19 century by King Bagyidaw, Bodawpaya's grandson in memory of one of his wives. Return to Mandalay and check in at hotel. After a brief fresh up continue visit traditional handicraft making process such as wood carving, tapestry weaving, gold leaf hammering etc. Late afternoon visit foot of Mandalay hill to observe "the largest book" at Kuthodaw Pagoda where entire Buddhist canon (Tripitaka) have been recorded on stone tablets totaling 729 in number. Shwenandaw "Golden Palace Monastery" (ex - palace complex of former Myanmar kings), to observe finest Myanmar wooden architecture and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, a large Buddha Image carved out of single block of marble. You may either walk up stairs or drive up to Mandalay hill for a fantastic over view of the entire plain. Overnight in Mandalay.

  • Day 7 : Mandalay - Heho - Kalaw

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for Heho bound flight. Upon arrival at Heho airport proceed Kalaw (36 km, approx 1 hour). Cool, spring - like weather, pine forests, tea plantations and colorfully clad hill tribes make this town to a natural magnet. After fresh up visit around at Kalaw. Overnight in Kalaw.

  • Day 8 : Kalaw - Trekking to Pein Ne/ Bin Village (Palaung Tribe)

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the trekking path (2 miles) west of Kalaw. Off the car and trek to Pein Ne\ Bin village where multiple families of Palaung tribes are living in a long house under the same roof. Observe a traditional Palaung hand weaving and some of charoot leaf making process. Enjoy a panoramic view of the ares from nearby Pagoda hill top. Return to main road and drive back to Kalaw. Overnight in Kalaw.

  • Day 9 : Kalaw - Inle

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Inle Lake (approx one hour). Excursion in the unique lake featuring ethnic market, unique one - legged rowers, typical floating gardens, houses and monasteries on stilts etc. Overnight in Inle Lake.

  • Day 10 : Sagar sightseeing

    Breakfast at hotel and board on a traditional long and tall motorized boat for a sightseeing tour of the lake with unique leg rowing fishermen, homes and monasteries built on piles, floating farms etc. Visit Indein Village (approx 45 minute) by boat. Indein is famous for its pagoda ruins which believed to be built in the 8th century. The market is of most attractive of its kind in the region and site is fantastic with rows of shops along the walk way. Return to Inle and continue visit Phaungdaw Oo pagoda with five miniature Buddha Images hidden under gold leaf, Lake's downtown the floating village of Ywama, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and the Ngaphechaung, a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored. Return to hotel. Lunch at local restaurant, Dinner and overnight in Inle Lake.

  • Day 11 : Sagar Sightseeing

    Breakfast and boat transfer to Sangha (approx 3 hours) through beautiful landscape and settlements dotted on both sides of the canal could be observed. On the way visit Kyauk Daing Shan village famous for their earthenware pottery works and Local methods of producing high degree of alcohol, fermented and extracted from Bran Rice. Lunch stop and visit culture and traditional life - styles of the ethnic groups of Pa - O and Intha.

    Inhabited around Sangha and Hmawbi area. Explore rice mill, making bullock cart wheels etc. Return back to Inle Lake. Overnight in Inle Lake.

  • Day 12 : Inle - Heho - Yangon

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Heho airport for your Yangon bound flight 6T 402 1130/1345 (check in time at Heho airport 1030,time to depart from hotel 0830). Upon arrive at Yanogn airport, transfer to your hotel. After fresh up visit Bogyoke market, formally know as Scott Market, a sprawling 75 year old shopping complex noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provide an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree. Proceed to Shwedagon Pagoda, claimed to be the world richest golden stupa of two thousand five hundred years old. The golden dome rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold along with numeric precious stones such as jade, ruby, sapphire and diamond including a 76 carat solid diamond on its top. Overnight in Yangon.

  • Day 13 : Departure

    Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for your onward departure to conclude this unique experience.
