Package Overview

Trek from McLeod Ganj to Chamba via Indrahar Pass, a tour package of 10 nights and 11 days, offers you a chance to enjoy a great of the Pir Panjal and Dhaula Dhar mountain ranges. During the itinerary, you go through a trek of moderate difficulty. The highlight of this tour is a mesmerizing view of the surrounding region from Indrahar pass. You trek through scenic villages of Himachal such as Triund, Lahesh, Chatru Parao, Machetar and Chamba.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

  On arriving in Delhi, meet an representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities-explore the popular monuments of the city, gorge on lip-smacking street food, shop from city鈥檚 well-known markets etc. Stay overnight.
• Day 2 : Delhi - Chandigarh

  In the morning, have breakfast and depart by road for Chandigarh. On reaching, get transferred to your hotel. Spend the day in doing the activities of your interest such as exploring the nearby surroundings on foot, tasting the local renditions, visiting the major tourist attractions etc. Overnight in Chandigarh.
• Day 3 : Chandigarh - Dharamshala (249 Kms)

  On day 3, post breakfast, hit the road to Dharamshala. On reaching Dharamshala, complete the check- in formalities at your pre-booked hotel. Spend the rest of the day in doing the activities of your interest- admire the surrounding local scenery, explore the nearby surroundings on foot, taste the local renditions, indulge in adventure activities etc. Stay overnight.
• Day 4 : Dharamshala

  Explore Dharamshala (1457 meters) and McLeod Ganj (2082 meters), now home to a large Tibetan community in exile. You can try your hands in doing adventure activities or can visit the well-known attractions such as Dal Lake, War Memorial, Nurpur, St. George Church, etc. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Dharamshala - Triund (1 Hr Drive+4 Hrs Trek)

  On day 5, have breakfast, and begin your one-hour drive to the point from where you have to start your trek. On reaching your trek point, begin trekking up to the camp site of Triund (2842 meters). Once you reach, settle in your camps. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities- treat your eyes to the local scenery, explore the surroundings on foot, etc. Stay overnight in tents

• Day 6 : Triund - Lahesh Cave (3467 Meters)

  On the 6th day of the tour, begin trekking to Lahesh caves. The distance that you cover today is around 9 kms (around 5-6 hrs). The trek of today is through Deodar forests. The trek route is not a difficult one today. Check-in your camp. Overnight stay in tents.

• Day 7 : Lahesh - Indrahar Pass (4342 Meters) - Chatru Parao (3700 Meters)

  After breakfast on day 7, begin your steep upward trek towards Indrahar Pass. Once you reach the pass of the Pir Panjal Range and the Mani Mahesh Kailash, treat your eyes to the local scenery. You enjoy an amazing view from here. Later, you trek becomes a descending one towards Chatru Parao, a picturesque village. This is your campsite, a perfect place for nature lovers. Set- up camp for overnight stay.
• Day 8 : Chatru Parao - Kuarsi (2730 Meters)

  Have breakfast and begin trekking from your base camp at Chatru Parao. While trekking on the 8th day of the tour cover few snow bridges. Later, enter Kuarsi, a shepherd village containing treks being used by shepherds from centuries. On arrival, pitch-in you camps. The rest of the day is free. Stay overnight in tents.

• Day 9 : Kuarsi - Machetar (1800 Meters) - Chamba (996 Meters)

  On day 9, have breakfast and continue the trek into the valley. Admire the mesmerizing view of the whole region from the top- southwards are the Dhaula Dhar ranges, north has Pir Panjal and towards the east, you enjoy a view of Mani Mahesh. Later, descending trek begins along the barley fields to reach the road that leads you to Machetar, a scenic village. Reach Chamba, an ancient town. Complete the check-in formalities at your pre-booked rest house for staying overnight.

• Day 10 : Chamba - Delhi (9-10 Hours)

  Once you have your breakfast, depart by road for Delhi. Late evening arrival and farewell dinner. Later, get transferred to the international airport.
• Day 11 : Departure

  Get an assisted transfer to the International Airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
