Nestled at an altitude of 7,710 ft., Thimphu offers a unique blend of modernity and tradition. After checking in at the hotel, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit the majestic Kuensel Phodrang, home to a massive Buddha statue that offers a tranquil environment and panoramic views of the city. Explore the King's Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in traditional Tibetan style, which serves as a focal point for worship. Continue to Tashichho Dzong, the fortress of the glorious religion, which houses the national government and the Central Monastic Body. After a hearty breakfast, depart for Punakha/Wangdue. En route, stop at Dochu-La-Pass, situated at an elevation of 3150 mts., to enjoy breathtaking views of the higher Himalayas. Upon arrival in Punakha, check in at your hotel and prepare for an afternoon of exploration. Visit the historic Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. This impressive fortress, known as Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang or the Palace of Great Happiness, once served as the seat of the government. It remains the winter residence of the Je-Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan) and was the site where King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly in 1952. Later, take a short excursion to Chhimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, the Divine Madman.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Paro. En route, visit the Royal Botanical Park at Lamperi, which boasts a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, including numerous endangered species. Upon arrival in Paro, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum, which houses an excellent collection of arts, relics, and religious thangkhas. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels," which now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Enjoy an evening of leisure to explore Paro at your own pace.

Start your day with a visit to the historical Drukgyel Dzong. Later, embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger's Nest. This monastery, perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley, offers a spectacular and spiritual experience. The hike to the monastery takes about 2 hours from the base camp. Conclude your day with a visit to Kitchu Monastery, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
