Start your journey on the luxurious Rovos Rail train for 2 nights. The train arrives in the beautiful city of Cape Town ,with a few days to explore the fantastic sightseeing on offer. You will then be whisked away to the Eastern Cape where you will go in search of the Big Five at the 5 star Kwandwe Private Game Reserve

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Go Back in Time On a Luxury Train

  Your journey starts in Johannesburg, where you will enjoy a private road transfer to Pretoria to board Rovos Rail, which will take you on a luxury train journey down to Cape Town.
  There is no finer way to see our beautiful country from the window of your private suite on board this famous train. This 1600 kilometre journey will take you through the grasslands of the gold rich Highveld to the haunting barrenness of the Great Karoo. Meander your way through spectacular mountain ranges , with a visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein and an opportunity to visit the Big Hole in Kimberley.
• Day 2 : Go Back in Time On a Luxury Train

  Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is a malaria-free 5 star safari destination, with the Big Five roam freely in pristine and private wilderness. The Great Fish River meanders through this reserve offering vast landscapes of incredible beauty.
  Each day on safari will offer twice daily game drives in open safari vehicles, with experienced rangers, in search of the Big Five.
  Safari enthusiasts from around the world visit Kwandwe to view Africa’s famous Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – but the Reserve is also home to a wealth of other unique and interesting animals.
  In between game drives, take a closer look at the subtle, unseen wonders of the bush on a leisurely walk within easy reach of your lodge.
  An armed ranger guides guests through sightings of occasional buffalo herds, elephant bull, black and white rhino, bushbuck or bushpig.
