Package Overview

Ladakh, open to tourism only since 1974, is a land of high passes, bounded by the Karakoram and the mighty Himalayas. The Indus with its tributaries acts is the lifeline for Ladakh鈥檚 scanty population. Ladakh covers an area of 97,000 sq kms, and has an average elevation of 3,500 m. It is often called 鈥楲ittle Tibet鈥�, because of its topographical and cultural similarities with neighbouring Tibet. In the early days, Ladakh played an important role being strategically placed at the crossroads of important trade routes to Central Asia. This now remains in the past, with China having sealed off the borders of Tibet and Central Asia.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : SRINAGAR ARRIVAL | GROUP BRIEFING

  The group will assemble at Srinagar. We鈥檒l meet the team captains and a small tour briefing session will be conducted.
  We will check in at our designated hotels. The rest of the day is at leisure but travelers are advised to explore the premises as much as they like.
  Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar or Sonmarg.

• Day 2 : SRINAGAR TO KARGIL (210KMS,7HRS)

  After early morning breakfast, we will head towards Kargil.
  En-route, we will make a brief stop at Zojila Pass. The world鈥檚 second coldest road, this mountain pass in the Himalayas is the link between Srinagar and Ladakh.
  We will reach Kargil in the afternoon. The second largest city in Ladakh, it was the site of the Kargil war back in 1999.
  After checking in at our hotel rooms, we will relax before heading out for a local tour. (if time permits)
  In the evening, after dinner, we will spend a night in Kargil.

• Day 3 : KARGIL TO LEH (216KMS,6HRS)

  Post breakfast, we will begin our journey from Kargil to Leh.
  En-route, we will be traversing through Namika La which is one of the highest passes between Kargil and Leh, Lamayuru-Hills/ Monastery which is one of the oldest and largest Gompas in Ladakh as well as Fotulla pass, and Sangam: the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River.
  We will also visit other tourist attractions such as Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic hill which is an anti gravity hill as well as The Hall of Fame which is a war memorial maintained by the Indian Army.
  We will reach Leh in the evening where we will have dinner followed by overnight stay

• Day 4 : LEH SIGHTSEEING DAY

  After breakfast, we will head out for our local sightseeing tour. We will visit the Shey Palace which is popular for it鈥檚 12 meter tall gold gilded statue of Buddha.
  We will also pay our reverence at Thiksey Monastery, which is the largest Monastery in Central Ladakh.
  The last stop on our sightseeing tour is the iconic Shanti Stupa known for it鈥檚 beautiful white dome shape, statues and intricate carvings.
  We will return to our Hotel where dinner will be served in the evening followed by overnight stay in Leh.

• Day 5 : LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY (162KMS,6HRS)

  Post breakfast, we鈥檒l head out for Nubra Valley.
  En-route we will make a pit stop for getting snacks at one of the Highest Motorable Road in the World, Khardung La.
  Upon reaching Nubra Valley, we鈥檒l check into our campsite.
  In the evening, travelers can enjoy indulge in a Double Hump Bactrian Camel safari, ATV rides and more. (On personal expense)
  Post-check-in, Dinner will be served followed by overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

• Day 6 : NUBRA TO PANGONG (200KMS, 7HRS)

  Post-breakfast, we鈥檒l check out from our hotel/campsite and head towards Pangong Lake.
  En-route, we will visit the Diskit Monastery, popular for the the 100ft tall colorful statue of Buddha.
  After paying our reverence at the monastery, we will resume our journey towards Pangong, the iconic lake that has gained popularity ever since featuring in the famous Bollywood blockbuster movie 3 Idiots.
  Upon reaching Pangong, we will check-in to out campsite where we will have dinner followed by an overnight stay.

• Day 7 : PANGONG TO LEH (210KMS,7HRS)

  After early morning breakfast, we鈥檒l head back to Leh.
  Traversing through Chang La Pass, which is one of the highest passes in the world, we will head back to Leh.
  Upon reaching Leh, we will check into our designated hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night.

• Day 8 : LEH TO SARCHU (250KMS, 10HRS)

  After breakfast, we will start our long drive to Sarchu. Surrounded by the great Himalayas, Sarchu is a major halt point on the Leh-Manali highway.
  En route, we will cover Moore Plans, Gata loops (21 Hairpins) and Nakeela.
  We will check into our camps. The rest of the day is at leisure.
  Dinner followed by overnight stay in Sarchu/Jispa.

• Day 9 : SARCHU TO MANALI (185KMS, 6HRS)

  We will check out of our campsite after breakfast.
  We will be heading towards Manali while traversing through scenic landscapes consisting of majestic mountains, lush valleys and many mountain passes like ZingZing Bar, Baralacha-La.
  Upon reaching Manali, we will check in to our designated hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night in Manali.

• Day 10 : MANALI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

  Post breakfast, we will be enjoying a Leisure Day at Manali. The participants are advised to go for cafe hopping, shopping, local sightseeing, and more (On Personal expense).
  After that, we will take an overnight Bus from Manali to Delhi for our return journey

• Day 11 : DELHI ARRIVAL | TOUR ENDS

  We will reach Delhi early in the morning. The group will part ways with fond memories.
  End of Tour.

• No Refund or Compensation for any unused services / transportation in any circumstance
• Any changes done on the trip, applicable charges will be charged.

Special Note

• In case of ill health or any other reason, if any participant has to turn back to Leh, the cost of heading back to Leh (Travel + Porter) along with the Cost of stay in Leh has to be borne by the Participant himself/herself.
• Any Increase in the Hotel tariff charges. Difference in cost arising due to change in Taxes by the Government which will have to be collected directly ON ARRIVAL.
• Cost for supplementary service, optional Tours, Up-gradation Charges, and camera charges. Cost for service provided on a personal request.
• Bottled Water, Soft Drinks, Laundry Charges, Room Service, incidentals, porter charges Or any other expense of personal nature
• Cost for any other service not mentioned in the 鈥榗ost inclusions鈥� above
• Difference in cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities, etc. In such cases extra cost incurred due to an illness, accident, hospitalization or any Individual unforeseen cost incurring incident will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.

• Due to any natural calamities or poor ice layer formation on the Zanskar River for the Chaddar, no refund will be made, but the company could organize a substitute tour in Leh around only.

Tour Notes

• Age Group: Minimum 18 years completed. Maximum 55 Years
• Fitness: This trek involves walking for 5-6 hours daily at an average pace. The highest altitude that we attain on this tour is 3500m/11,484 ft. We do not recommend this tour to people with chronic problems like epilepsy and those related to blood pressure or heart or diabetes.
• Permits & Documents: It鈥檚 mandatory that all the participants carry a valid photo id / passport for issuance of permits and 02 passport size photographs.
• Baggage & Porters: You can hire a porter so that he can walk along with you and carry your baggage, and then an extra porter can be arranged on the spot for which the client must make an extra payment.
• Temperature: Day temperatures average minus 13 潞C (8 掳F) and at night it can drop to minus 30 潞C (-22 掳F).
• Temperatures can vary a lot depending on the season and altitude.
• Travel: All the Delhi 鈥� Leh flights are scheduled in the early morning hours hence it is advisable to fly to Delhi a day in advance.

Important Notes

• Considering it is an outdoor activity, please prepare accordingly.
• We advise participants with any medical issues /history not to opt for this event. Still If he/she does so, it should be at the participant鈥檚 risk. The management will not be responsible for any incident.
• Do not carry Suitcase or Heavy Luggage, we recommend you to carry a backpack.
• It鈥檚 a Backpacking Trip, not a Luxury Trip; we would change a few transports based on availability, as the overall year used to be full of tourists.
• We request you to go through the complete itinerary. Since it is a group event, we will not be in a position to entertain any request of leaving early from the event. Respecting the fellow trek buddies, please adhere to the schedule and take back lovely memories.
