Package Overview

Travel south through lush Waikato farmland to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Continue east to Rotorua, steeped in Maori culture and history. Drive south past the steam fields of Wairakei to Lake Taupo in the centre of the North Island.

Departure

​Reporting time 7.30 am at the Sky City Coach Terminal. Departs at 8.00 am EVERY DAY.
Additional Nights – Available to any destination of your choosing. You can add an extra night for a competitive rate. If you would like to extend your tour, please advise your consultant when making your booking. We definitely recommend that you spend extra nights prior to and after your tour to explore the gateway destinations, as these provide many unique attractions worth going the extra mile for.

Flexible Itineraries

Transfers Included
Transfers are included between your accommodation and transport on the Tour. If you need to we can book your pre-tour arrangements or you can make your own way to the Tour departure location.

Daily Departures
The tours operate every day and use routine train, ferry and motor coach services. All hotel, motel accommodation, transportation and essential sightseeing are pre-arranged for you.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua

  Travel south through lush Waikato farmland to Waitomo Glowworm Caves for a underground boat ride under a galaxy of glowworms. Enjoy your picnic lunch which is served onboard as you continue east to Rotorua, steeped in Maori culture and history. Tonight enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) & Concert at Tamaki Maori Village.
• Day 2 : Rotorua - Taupo

  This morning see roaring geysers and boiling mud pools at the thermal area, tame trout and Kiwi at Rainbow Springs and watch performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. This afternoon drive south past the steam fields of Wairakei to Lake Taupo in the centre of the North Island.
  
  Stay 1 night in Taupo.
• Day 3 : Taupo - Auckland

  A guided tour will take you to the mighty Huka Falls, Wairakei, the Aratiatia Rapids and the Craters of the Moon. In the afternoon you drive via Cambridge and Hamilton on your return journey to Auckland, arriving in the evening.
