Package Overview

Ladakh is a land abounding in awesome physical features, set in an enormous and spectacular environment. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Karakoram in the north and the Great Himalaya in the south, it is traversed by two other parallel chains, the Ladakh Range and the Zanskar Range.
In geological terms, this is a young land, formed a few million years ago. Its basic contours, uplifted by tectonic movements, have been modified over the millennia by the process of erosion due to wind and water, sculpted into the form that we see today.
Today a high-altitude desert, shelter ed from the rain-bearing clouds of the Indian monsoon by the barrier of the Great Himalaya, Ladakh was once covered by an extensive lake system, the vestiges of which still exist on its south-east plateaux of Rupshu and Chushul, in the drainage basins or lakes of Tso-moriri, Tso-kar and Pangong-tso. But the main source of water is winter snowfall.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Leh (Ladakh)

  You will be met by Travel Excellence representative at the airport and you would be transferred to your hotel where you will proceed for check-in.Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Leh Monasteries

  Morning visit important Monasteries of Leh - Thiksey, Shey & Hemis. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 3 : Khardung-La Pass - Nubra Valley

  After breakfast half day trip to Khardung-La - (5602m) highest motor able road of the world & gateway to Siachen Glacier. Later drive down to Khalsar and then to the Nubra ValleyDinner & overnight stay at deluxe camps.

• Day 4 : Nubra Valley

  Before breakfast visit the 760 yr. old Gompa for morning prayers, a Forty five minutes walk amidst Chortens and flags. Among the various statues, the one holding the arm and head of a Turkish invader is believed to be 500 Yr. old. Visit Diskt and Hunder.Dinner & overnight Stay in Deluxe Camps.
• Day 5 : Nubra Valley

  Day trip to Panamik, Ansa, and Smasthaling Monasteries. Panamik is the hot springs from where it turns east over Saser La & then goes on to Karakoram pass and Central AsiaOvernight in the deluxe camps.
• Day 6 : Nubra Valley - Leh

  After Breakfast drive over Khardung-La top into Leh town & check-in at your hotel. Evening at Leisure free for personal activities Dinner & overnight Stay at your hotel.
• Day 7 : Depart Leh (Ladakh)

  Early in the morning transfer to airport in time connect flight for onwards destination.
