Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Leh Arrival

  An early morning arrival at Leh airport where you will be greeted by our company representative and transferred directly to your Leh based accommodation. In the evening you can visit the ancient Leh palace and then proceed to the magnificent Japanese built Shanti Stupa, where you can watch the sun set and the lights emerge over Leh town. Return to your Leh based accommodation for overnight stay.

• Day 2 : Visit The Ancient Palace Of Shey

  After breakfast visit the ancient palace of Shey which is known for being the summer retreat place for the previous Kings of Ladakh. Next, visit Thiksey Monastery which bears a striking resemblance to the ‘Potala Palace’ in Lhasa, Tibet. Proceed to Hemis Gompa which is the largest, richest and most populous monastery in all of Ladakh before finishing the day at Stok Palace. Return to your Leh based accommodation in time for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 3 : Depart Leh

  Depart Leh after breakfast and head towards ‘Nubra Valley’ via ‘Khardong-la-pass’ which is the world’s highest motor-able road (located 18390 feet above sea level)! The journey to Nubra is a half-day drive of breathtaking landscapes and spectacular scenery. On arrival in the Valley, you will visit the Disket monastery where you can see the 100-foot tall Buddha statue. Those who wish can a double-humped camel safari in nearby Hunder for a ride around the cold desert sand dunes before arriving to your Nubra Valley camp accommodation.

• Day 4 : Today involves an adventurous drive with a constantly scenic trip to the magnificent Pangong Lake

  Today involves an adventurous drive with a constantly scenic trip to the magnificent Pangong Lake. A must see destination for your time in Ladakh, Pangong Lake has been made famous by the 'Three Idiots' movie. More than half of the lake separates India from China and the appearance of the water changes colour at every angle of the sun. Overnight stay at Pangong.

• Day 5 : Pangong Lake - Tso mo riri

  The early birds can start the morning bright and early with a sunrise view of beautiful Pangong Lake before returning to the resort for breakfast and check out. Continue safari the safari drive to Tso mo riri lake and enjoy a chance encounter with the Changpa nomads. Overnight at Tso mo riri.

  Wake early and travel west of Leh to the popular ‘Hall of Fame’ war museum where you can learn about local history and pay your respects to the Indian army. Next, see the famous temple of ‘Kali Mata before sightseeing at the Sikh temple known as ‘Pathar Sahib’. Take a short stop at the mysterious Magnetic Hill where you can stop, take photos and experience reverse gravity in action as your vehicle appears to move without power. Continue on your safari journey and arrive at the Sangham lookout where you can view the meeting point of the intersection of the Zangskar and Indus rivers arrive at your overnight destination of Lamayuru.

• Day 8 : Lamayuru - Alchi - Likir - Leh

  After breakfast, drive to Alchi monastery via the famous ‘moonland territory’.Proceed to the Alchi monastery and marvel at the unique Kashmiri influenced architecture before one last holy sight for the day - the Likir gompa - famous for its tall Buddha statue. Make the return trip back to Leh and arrive in the early afternoon. Enjoy free time before overnight stay in Leh.
