Konark Day tour:

Konark is a small town beside the Bay of Bengal and it is in the distance of 65kms from Bhubaneswar. The place is famous for the beautiful Sun Temple which is a popular tourist attraction in the country. The tour will begin early in the morning extended till the evening with the car dropping you back to the hotel. The tour will cover all the major spots that are worth a visit making it worthwhile.

Places to be covered:

Dhauli peace pagoda – It is 8kms from Bhubaneswar and it is famous for the edicts of Ashoka which is engraved in the rock. The place is in the banks of river Daya and also has an ancient Shiva temple.

Konark sun temple – The beautiful world heritage site is in the shape of a gigantic chariot has been attracting tourist from decades. The temple is dedicated to Sun God and it is an ancient temple surviving in Orissa.

Museum at Konark – The artefacts and the historical finds that are retrieved as proudly displayed which is a treat to the eyes. The place also has beautiful carved sculptures of the gods and goddess in the various forms with stories to be narrated.

Fishing villages at Konark – Konark is well known for fishing villages which is indeed a rare sight elsewhere. There are fisheries and dockyards were you can see the daily activities of the people and interact with them

Grand road of Puri – The trip will be through the grand road of Puri which is 61 kms from Bhubaneshwar. The road is well known for the magnificent architectures, shopping and hotels.

Raghurajpur heritage village – A cultural corner that promotes Pattachitra painters, Odissi dancers and other art and culture. The village has beautiful vicinity of coconut palms, lush greenery and peaceful satire.
