Day 1 : Arrive
Touch down in Africa at Joma Kenyatta International Airport. The adventure begins! A Sentinel representative will be cheerfully waiting to meet you on arrival and transfer you to Fairview Hotel, Nairobi for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Masai Mara
This morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve, often reffered to as "the safari jewel". Your Mara flight is scheduled to depart at 10h30 and the flight duration is around 1 hour depending on bush-stop overs. A sentinel driver guide will receive you as you disembark your Air Kenya flight. You will have a game drive en route to the camp where you will settle in at Sentinel Mara Camp; an exclusive tented eco camp set up in a forest along the banks of the Mara River within the Masai Mara Reserve offering guests an authentic close to nature experience.

Day 3 : Sightseeing
After breakfast, your days will be filled with various activities such as early morning and late afternoon game drives, nature walks, sundowners, evening drinks by the campfire, starlit dinners and so much more! Our friendly staff will ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
You will have the opportunity to visit a local Masai village to observe the traditional Masai way of life. Our Masai staff will be available to talk about Masai customs and culture around the campfire in the evenings. The more energetic can learn how to shoot with a bow and arrow as well as learn how to throw a spear or rungu.

Day 4 : Sightseeing
Day 4 - After breakfast, if you would like, you could enjoy an early morning hot air balloon ride looking out over the stunning landscape of the Mara Plains. You might also have a chance to visit the local Maasai village to learn about the customs and way of life of the Maa tribe. Our bespoke approach ensures that your daily routine is flexible and tailored around the particular preferences of each group of guests.

Day 5 : Nairobi
fter your lunch and one last look at the African bush, you will board your flight to Nairobi. You will be met by a Sentinel representative who will transfer you from Wilson Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight to Entebbe International Airport.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will proceed to clear with immigration and customs formalities, thereaftermet outside the baggage area by our Uganda representative and transferred to Lake Heights Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Early breakfast, transferred back to Entebbe Airport for your morning Aerolink schedule flight departing at 07h00 to Kihihi. Upon arrival at 08h45, met by Mahogany Springs Lodge representative and transferred to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be at leisure (a host of activities to book & pay locally).

Day 7 : Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Breakfast and take a short transfer to Bwindi NP headquarters where you will meet up with excellent local guides/ranges and trackers, who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. Thereafter, hike into the forest with your packed lunch. Return to the lodge and free afternoon/evening to relax.

Day 8 : Entebbe
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kihihi airstrip for your onward scheduled flight.

Gorilla Permits:

Gorilla permits are confirmed to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), who confirms the permits on first come first serve basis. Private SAfaris will not be held responsible if at the time of receipt of payments the permits will not be available.
NB: a) Gorilla Permits based on current Government Park Tarriffs. Park fees are subject to change without prior notice.

Baggage allowance for domestic flights is 15kgs per person including hand luggage.
Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles with East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24"x17"x7" are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and shouldn't be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner's risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised).
