It is a famous Hindu pilgrimage destination where thousands of devotees from all over the world come in pursuit to attain Moksha. It is one of the Char Dhams nestled gloriously in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It stands tall and gracefully at an average height of 3584 meters above sea level and lies in the midst of snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges near the head of the beautiful Mandakini River. It is a must-visit place for in here, you will witness one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath Shrine leads you on the path of salvation amidst the beauty of the Himalayan foothills.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Haridwar - Guptkashi | Witness the temples and ghats along holy Ganga as you travel from Haridwar to Guptkashi

  飦� Pick up form decided place and our coordinators will take next step.
  飦� Meet our driver at Haridwar and drive to Guptkashi via Rudraprayag & Devprayag.
  飦� Enroute you can see the beautiful river Ganga and Alaknanda River till Rudraprayag. The Mandakini River comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar (Vishwanath) Temple in Guptakashi.
  飦� Guptakashi: - The name Gupt Kashi means 鈥淗idden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but
  飦� Later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled.
  飦� There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months, and after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through Guptkashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter.
  飦� Guptkashi Weather 鈥� pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.

• Day 2 : Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath | Trail to Pristine Abode of Lord Shiva amid the Unparalleled Beauty of the Himalayas

  飦� Wake up with the mesmerizing view of mountains all across in Guptkashi.
  飦� Before embarking towards Gaurikund, take packed breakfast with you that you can have on the way to Kedarnath as you'll have to start early at around 4:00 A.M.
  飦� A vehicle will take you to Sonprayag after which private vehicles are not allowed & you'll need to walk (approx 1km) to the government taxi stand from where a taxi will drop you to Gauri Kund.
  飦� Gauri Kund is a place where Lord Shiva finally admitted His love for Lord Gauri as well as it is a characteristic pool with warm water known for relieving skin maladies.
  飦� Start the trek to the Kedarnath from Gauri Kund.
  飦� You can take ponies or palanquins for the journey at your own cost.
  飦� Trek through the beautiful valley and river stream flowing in between both of them.
  飦� Have lunch stop in between and continue the journey, you will get to see the Kedarnath Temple, situated right at the centre of the valley with mountains on every side looking like they are providing safety to the temples.
  飦� After offering prayers at Kedarnath.
  飦� Overnight stay and dinner at Kedarnath.

• Day 3 : Kedarnath - Guptkashi - Gaurikund

  飦� Wake up early and get a refresh for a day.
  飦� You will be embarking on the tour through the road from Guptkashi to Sonprayag which has a distance of 30 km.
  飦� Sometimes this distance takes more than 03 hours to reach Sonprayag. So leaving early is a good option.
  飦� Take the local conveyance for Gaurikund from sonprayag.
  飦� Once done with medical and biometric registration, you can proceed to the trek.
  飦� It will be a 16km trek, you will also have other options like Dolly/Ponny if you wish to skip trekking.
  飦� Overnight stay at Guptkashi

• Day 4 : Departure for Guptkashi - Haridwar | Board a Train or flight.

  Haridwar
  飦� After having breakfast in the hotel, check out and travel back to Haridwar.
  飦� As you reach, get dropped off at the Haridwar Station or AirPort.
  飦� Board a Train or flight and take back a bag full of memories.
