Spread over an area of 932 sq. km, the Chitwan National Park was recognized by UNESCO as Natural Heritage Site on 1979. The name Chitwan translates to "the heart of the jungle" in English and Chitwan stays true to its name, i.e. it is right in the middle of vast deciduous forest, home to many flora, fauna and wildlife. Irrigated by three rivers, Narayani, Rapti and Reu, Chitwan has vast food plains apart from dense jungle.

Chitwan National Park is home to some of the most endangered animals in the world. The park is a natural habitat for Asian one-horned rhinoceros, elephants and Bengal tigers among others. Also found in the park are crocodiles, python, deer, rhesus monkey, langur, leopard and wild cats. Apart from that, the wetland of Chitwan National Park attracts numerous birds from around the world, including some rare and endangered ones, making the park a perfect location for bird watching in Nepal.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Drive to Chitwan and Half Day Safari At Chitwan (815m)

  First day we arrive to the Chitwan National Park by a tourist bus. On arrival at Chitwan, we will cordially received and transferred to the resort. Once again, a very cordial welcome at the resort with the refreshment drink is offered at the resort reception. A briefing on Wildlife Activity is done on arrival at the resort. Then we will let go the driving exhaustion probably with the shower and then enjoy our lunch. Post lunch, we will visit to the Tharu village and the National Park Visitors Center. In the evening, we will enjoy the Sunset view from the riverbank. Evening dinner at resort and Slide-show on the wildlife. Stay overnight at Chitwan.
• Day 2 : Full Day Safari Activities in Chitwan (815m)

  Today we will wake up with the wake-up call and go for the dugout canoe trip in Rapti River. The canoe trip allows us to see abundant bird activities. Then we will go for either Nature Walk in the woods of Chitwan or a visit to the Elephant Breeding Farm. Either of them is quite a fun and the ox-cart ride or a jeep drive back to the resort is fascinating experience. We will enjoy the breakfast in the resort and go for the short elephant ride to Rapti River. At the River we can wash the elephants or swim with them, fascinatingly wonderful experience. Then we take lunch at resort and after lunch we go for Elephant back safari. Everning dinner and Tharu dancing performance. Stay overnight at Chitwan
• Day 3 : Half Day Safari and Return Back to Kathmandu (1400m)

  After tea or coffee we will go for a bird watching tour. During the morning we can spot several species of birds indulged in their activities. After the birdwatching tour we walk back to the resort, enjoy our breakfast and depart.
