Pattadakal is situated on the banks of the Malaprabha river, has several shrines which have survived to this day. The scene of great architectural activity, in the 7th -8th century. Virupaksha Temple was constructed by Queen Lokamahadevi in the honour of the victory of her husband, King Vikramaditya II over the Pallavas. The Sangameshwara temple was oldest temple in the area and was earlier popular as Vijayeshwara. It was constructed by the great Chalukya King, Vijayaditya Satyashraya. Papanatha temple in Virupaksha region, has an anti chamber and a big hall. Near the doorway of inner hall, the idols of Nandi and Virabhadra situated.

Kadasiddhesvara is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visiting Dam and other museums would be an advantage for the visitors. Galganatha temple in the northern are of the Virupaksha is established with Shukanasa, Navaranga, and the sanctum with a Shiva Linga.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive - Badami

  Morning you will be pick up from Hyderabad and then driven by surface to Badami and upon arrival check into a hotel and in the evening you are free to relax or do your own activities.
  
  Overnight : Hotel in Badami.
• Day 2 : Badami

  Morning after breakfast you will be taken for tour of Badami visiting Pattadakal and Aihole.
  
  Pattadakal is situated on the banks of the Malaprabha river, has several shrines which have survived to this day. The scene of great architectural activity, in the 7th -8th century.
  
  Aihole- At the top of the triangle created by 3 towns in the Bijapur area, the temples of Aihole are the oldest, around 100 in number. Dating back to the 5th century, the main temples here are Ladh Khan, Ravan Phadi Cave, Megudhi, Chikki Durga etc.
  
  Overnight : Hotel in Badami
• Day 3 : Badami - Hyderabad

  Morning after the breakfast you will be driven back from Badami to Hyderabad and upon arrival Hyderabad you will be drop of at your place.
