Learn to pan for gold (and keep all you find!), and discover Juneau鈥檚 colorful mining heritage for yourself. Head out with a prospector/guide for a historical tour of Juneau en route to 鈥淟ast Chance Basin鈥�.

Your prospector will show you how gold panning is done on the banks of Gold Creek, in a beautiful, secluded mountain setting. We are the only company allowed to use this special place, but the locals know how much gold is still there, so you will likely witness some real panners. Expertly work the pan with helpful tips, and you will find gold鈥揼uaranteed!

Notes: Dress comfortable in warm layers and bring raingear in inclement weather. Suitable for all ages and no prior experience necessary. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate in the absence of a parent or guardian. This tour is not suitable for guests confined to wheelchairs due to the uneven terrain at Last Chance Basin.
