Day 1 : Arrival to Paro (By Flight)
The flight offers you beautiful view of mountains and landscapes. On arrival and after visa formalities you will be received by our Representative and transfer to Hotel/Resort. If time permits proceed for sightseeing or Relax as per client’s wish.
Day 2 : Paro Sightseeing and drive to Thimphu (54 KM, 1 and half hour drive)
After Break fast, proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. It was housed into the National museum in the 1960s by the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck but due to renovation it’s closed and the museum has been shifted to a temporary place nearby. Precede short downhill walk to Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) and walk further down through a traditional Cantilever Bridge where your vehicle will be waiting for you. Visit around Paro Town till lunch time and lunch at Kichu Resort. After Lunch visit Dzongdrakha Goemba often called as mini Takstang. Dzongdrakha is a cliff-side temple complex on the western side of the Paro Valley. Four shrines make up the complex, dedicated to Drolma (Tara), Tsheringma (Goddess of Longevity), Guru Rinpoche and the Buddha of the Future, Maitreya. Evening drive to Thimphu.
Day 3 : Thimphu Sightseeing and drive to Paro (54 KM, 1 and half hour drive)
After Breakfast Visit Kuensel Phodrang (Largest statue of Sitting Buddha in the region). Visit the Memorial chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, 15 century Changangkha monastery, Mini Zoo to see the rare ‘Takin’ (National Animal of Bhutan) and the new Drupthob nunnery temple. After lunch, Drive to Paro visiting Oldest Dzong in the country (Simtokha Dzong).
Day 4 : Paro (Hike to Tiger Nest, 3 to 4 hours walk)
Day hike to Taktshang monastery (Tigers Nest). The hike, which is all uphill, takes about 3 to 4 hours through pine forests. The monastery clings to a huge granite cliff 800 meters above the Paro valley.It is believed that the great saint Guru Padmasambhava came in the 07th Century on a flying tigress and mediated there for 3 Months. The demons who were trying to stop the spread of Buddhism were subdued and converted the Paro valley into Buddhism. At the end of the 17th Century, a monastery was built on the spot where the saint meditated .It is an important pilgrimage site for all Buddhist Evening at leisure.
Day 5 : Departure by Flight
Transfer to airport for departure.
